RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 481
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI~ ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF PQRTIONS OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
DESCRIBED ~REIN AND RESERVING THEREFROM A
CERTAIN O~RHEAD EASEMENT FOR POWER LINE
OVERHANG ~D CROSS ARM PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, ~e City Council of the City of Anaheim did
on the 15th day of ~ptember, 1970, declare by Resolution
No. 70R-455 its intaPtion to vacate and abandon portions of
certain property in~cating its intention to reserve a certain
overhead easement f~ power line overhang and cross arm purposes
therefrom, and did set the 6th day of October, 1970, for a public
hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, op said 6th day of October, 1970, at 1:30
o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City
of Anaheim, said pubQ.ic hearing was held; and
WHEREAS, ~e City Council finds from the evidence sub-
mitted at said public hearing that portions of the real property
described herein and; in said Resolution of Intention are unnecessary
for present or pros~ctive roadway and alley purposes but that
certain public utility easements should be reserved therein.
NOW, THEREWORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim:
1.
That it fi~ds that said public hearing was properly
held and that all notices were given and publications
made as required by law.
2.
That those portions of the real property toward which
a request for vacation and abandonment was directed are
not necessary for present or prospective roadway and
alley purpbses and does hereby order that said portions
as herein set forth, be and they are hereby vacated,
abandoned and closed to public use.
3.
That said portions of real property herein ordered
vacated, apandoned and closed to public use are
situated ip the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of C~lifornia, and are more particularly described
as follows, to wit:
That portion of an existing public utility easement
located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State
of California, described in Deed recorded March 4, 1949
in Book l8~0, page 538 and 539, records of Orange
County, Ca~ifornia, to be abandoned, described as fol-
lows:
The southe~ly five feet of that portion of the North
half of the Northwest quarter of Section 7, Township
4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City
of Anaheim" County of Orange, State of California, as
per Map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said
County, described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the west line of said Northwest
quarter, Sbuth 366.00 feet from the Northwest corner of
the Northw~st quarter of said Section; thence East 666.00
feet paral~el with the north line of said Section; thence
South 220.bo feet parallel with the west line of said
Section; thence West 666.00 feet parallel with the north
line of sa~d Section to the west line of said Section;
thence North 220.00 feet along the west line of said
Section to the point of beginning.
Said land ~s shown on a Map filed in Book 11, page 38 of
Record of Surveys, in the office of said County Recorder.
Reserving therefrom an easement for overhang and over-
head purposes for power lines, cross arms, over, along
and across all of the southerly five feet above described.
4. That the Qity Council finds that an easement should be
reserved fbr overhang and overhead purposes for power
lines and cross arms over, along and across the above
described property.
AND BE IT ,FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and
she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange Oounty, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 6th day of October, 1970.
