RESOLUTION NO. 70R-426
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI~ AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIQN AND
FILING OF, AN APPLICATION FOR CERTAIN FEDERAL
ASSISTANC~ UNDER THE FEDERAL DISASTER RELIEF
ACT OF 1969.
WHEREAS, The Federal Disaster Relief Act of 1969 (Public
Law 79, 9lst Congress; Section 2, 83 Stat. 125) provides for
additional Federal assistance to local areas which have been
declared to be a major disaster under provisions of the Federal
Disaster Act (Public Law 875, 8lst Congress; 42 U.S.C. l855-l855g.);
and
WHEREAS, .such assistance may be provided as reimbursement
for cost of permanent repair or reconstruction of those permanent
street, road or highway facilities not on any of the Federal-aid
systems which have been damaged as a result of a major disaster
upon the filing of an application for reimbursement of such cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Paul L. Hayes, Disaster Services Coordi-
nator of the City of Anaheim, be and is hereby authorized to
execute for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim, a public entity
established under the laws of the State of California, said
application and to file it in the appropriate State office for the
purpose of obtaining certain Federal financial assistance under
the Federal Disaster Act (Public Law 875, 8lst Congress; 42 U.S.C.
l855-l855g.) and the Federal Disaster Relief Act (Public Law 79,
9lst Congress; Sec. 2; 83 Stat. 125).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 25th day of August, 1970.
