RESOLUTION NO. 70R-419
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AN~EIM FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
CODE RELAT!ING TO ZONING SHOULD BE AMENDED
AND THAT TaE BOUNDARIES OF CERTAIN ZONES
SHOULD BE CHANGED.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did hold a public hearing in Reclassification Proceed-
ings No. 70-71-:4 to consider an amendment to
Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to zoning, and
to consider a change in the boundaries of the zone or zones
hereinafter mentioned and described, and at said hearing did
receive evidence and reports from persons interested therein
and from its staff; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty days following said
hearing the Planning Commission did duly adopt a resolution
containing a report of its findings, a summary of the evidence
presented at said hearing, and a recommendation that the pro-
posed amendment be adopted by the City Council and that a
certain zone or zones be changed as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendation of the City
Planning Commission the City Council did fix the 2Stv day
of Allg)l~t. , 19 7~ as the time, and the City Council
Chambers 1n the City Ha 1 of the City of Anaheim as the place
for a public hearing upon said proposed amendment to Title 18
of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and the exclusion of said
property, hereinafter described, from the zone or zones in
which it is now situated and the incorporation thereof in the
zone or zones hereinafter set forth, and did give notice there-
of in the manner and form as provided in said Title 18 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing the City Council did hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports, and
did thereupon consider the summary of evidence presented at
said public hearing before the Planning Commission, its report
of findings and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, the City Counci1 does find and determine
that the amendment to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
should be adopted and that the property hereinafter described
should be excluded from the zone or zones in which it is now
situated and incorporated in the zone or zones as hereinafter
set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended and that the following
described property, situated in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, to wit:

That parcel of land located in the County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows;
Beginning at a point in the existing city limit line of
the City of Anaheim as established by the Lakeview -
Orangethorpe Annexation passed by Resolution No. 69R-240,
April 22, 1969, filed with the Secretary of State April 26,
1969 and recorded May 1, 1969, records of Orange County,
California, said point of beginning being distant from the
centerline intersection of Orangethorpe and Taylor Street,
now known as Lakeview Avenue, the following courses and
distances: South 00 48' 16" East, 447 feet, more or less,
South 820 27' 46" East, 690 feet as said intersection is
shown on a Record of Surveys Map filed in Book 37, page
25, records of Orange County, California; thence
Following along a portion of the existing city limit line of
the City of Anaheim as established by the said Lakeview -
Orangethorpe Annexation, being a portion of the southerly
line of the land described in deed recorded August 12, 1964
in Book 7175, pages 493 through 495, records of Orange
County, California, the following courses and distances:
South 820 27' 46" East, 338.92 feet to the beginning of a
tangent curve concave northwesterly and having a radius
of 333 feet; thence northeasterly along said curve through
a central angle of 110511' 10" an arc distance of 69.18
feet to the point of intersection with the northerly line
of the land described in deed recorded December 6, 1957 in
book 4125, page 554, records of Orange County, California,
a radial line bearing South 40 41' 56" East, passes through
said point of intersection; thence South 820 16' 20" East,
290.09 feet to an intersection with the westerly line of
the land described in deed recorded June 27, 1957 in book
3955, page 279, records of Orange County, California, said
point of intersection being a point in the existing city
limit line of the City of Anaheim as established by the
Northeast Annexation No. 3 to the City of Anaheim passed
by Ordinance No. 1542, January 17, 1961, filed with the
Secretary of State July 10, 1964 and recorded July 13,
1964, records of Orange County, California; thence
South 80 03' 40" West, 1,445 feet, more or less, leaving
the existing city limit line of the City of Anaheim as estab-
lished by said LakevievJ - Orangethorpe Annexation and
following along a portion of the existing city limit line of
the City of Anaheim, as established by said Northeast Annex-
ation No.3, being a portion of the v..rest line of the land
described in the last mentioned deed to an intersection with
the northerly line of the land described in deed recorded
May 22, 1951 in Book 2191, page 307, records of Orange
County, California; thence
:North 820 16' 20" West, 588 feet, more or less, following
along a portion of the last mentioned existing City of
Anaheim city limit being a portion of the northerly line of
the land described in the last mentioned deed to an inter-
section with the westerly line of the land described in
the deed recorded January 15, 1945 in Book 1298, page 178,
records of Orange County, California; thence
North 30 41' 57" West, 384 feet, more or less, leaving the
said existing city limit line of the City of Anaheim, and
following along the westerly line of the land described in

the last mentioned deed and the northerly prol~ngation
thereof, to an intersection with the southerly line of the
land described in deed recorded April 19, 1967 in Book
8228, page 947, records of Orange County, California;

southerly line of the land described in the last mentioned
deed to an interse ction wi th the centerline of Tay lor
Street, now known as Lakeview Avenue; the~ce
North 00 48' 16" West, 198 feet, more or less, along the
last mentioned centerline to an intersection with the north-
erly line of the land described in the deed recorded April
19, 1967 in Book 8228, page 947, records of Orange County,
California; thence
South 820 16' 20" East, 625 feet, more or less, along the
northerly line of the land described in the last mentioned
deed to an intersection with the westerly line of the land
described in deed recorded August 25, 1949, in Book 1893,
page 188, records of Orange County, California; thence
North 30 41' 57" Hest, 860 feet, more or less, along a
portion of tbe westerly line of the land described in the
last mentioned deed and the northerly prolongation thereof,
to the point of beginning.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit
to the City Council an ordinance amending Title 18 of the Anaheim
IIunicipal Code to accomplish the objects herein found and
determined to be necessary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
