RESOLUTION NO. 70R-417
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEtM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF p..N AGREEMENT TO BE MADE AND ENTERED
INTO BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND ORANGE
COUNTY PtA. CE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION, INC., FOR
THE LEAStNG OF AN IDENTI-KIT BY THE CITY.
~JHEPillAS, the City of Anaheim is now leasing an Identi-
Kit through the Or$nge County Peace Officers Association, Inc.,
for use by the Police Department; and
T"HERE.i~.I.S, the Orange County Peace Officers Association,
Inc. is negotiating with the Bangor Punta Company for a master
lease agreement in the interest of reducing the cost of possession
and use of Identi-~it to its members and has tendered to the City
Council a form of 4greement, dated July 1, 1970, to be made and
entered into by the City and said Association for the leasing of
an Identi-Kit for Use by the City during the period of July 1,
1970, to June 30, 1971, at the rental charge set forth in said
agreement and subject to the covenants and conditions contained
therein, said agreement to be of no force nor effect if said
Orange County Peace Officers Association, Inc. fails to enter
into a master lease agreement with the Bangor Punta Company for
the supplying of Identi-Kits, and any payments made by the City
under said agreemetit to be refunded to the City; and

HHEREAS,the City Council finds that the leasing of an
Identi-Kit from said Association under said agreement will result
in considerable savings to the City and that it would, therefore,
be to the advantage and for the best interest of the City to
enter into said agrieement with said Peace Officers Association.
NOW, THERJEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement, dated July 1, 1970, this
day tendered to the City Council by the Orange County Peace
Officers Association, Inc. to be made and entered into by and
between the City and said Association for the leasing by the
City of an Identi-K~t, at the rental and upon the terms and
conditions set fort~l in said agreement, in the event said
Association enters into a master lease agreement ~.vith the Bangor
Punta Company for the supplying of Identi-Kits as contemplated
in said agreement, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FUR'!rHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are herebYi' authorized to execute said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREG~ING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 18th day of August, 1970.
