RESOLUTION NO. 70R-413
A RESOLUTrON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH.E CITY
OF ANABEl AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF
CERTAIN C TY RECORDS MORE THAN FIVE (5) YEARS
OLD.
WHEREAS, Ihe Government Code of the State of California
authorizes the dest uction of certain records of the City upon
approval of the Leg slative Body and with a written consent of
the City Attorney, rovided that said records should not fall
within certain spec fied categories; and
WHEREAS, ~he following described documents in the
possession of the c~ty Clerk of the City of Anaheim, to wit:
Those certain ~xhibits introduced at City Council
Public Hearingj including transcripts of meetings
pertaining theFeto on Variance No. 948 denied
July 28, 1958
were prepared on a ~ate at least five (5) years prior to the date
of this resolution;! and
WHEREAS, paid documents are occupying space sorely
needed by the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS ,jthe City Clerk of the City of Anaheim has
determined that non~ of the aforementioned documents, regardless
of age, has sufficient value to justify retention in any form;
and
WHEREAS, ~he City Attorney of the City of Anaheim does
hereby give his wri~ten consent for the destruction of the afore-
mentioned documentsj.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby,
authorized to destrpy immediately all of the following described
documents of the d~te of preparation more than five (5) years
from this date, to ~it:
Those certain ,exhibits introduced at City Council Public
Hearing inclu~ing transcripts of meetings pertaining
thereto on Va~iance 948 denied July 28, 1958.
BE IT FU~THER RESOLVED that the proper official of the
City having custod~ of the above designated records shall cause
said records to be destroyed in a lawful manner; and
BE IT FU~THER RESOLVED that upon the destruction of
the foregoing reco~ds, a Certificate of Destruction shall be
executed and the o~iginals thereof filed in the Office of the
City Clerk togethe~ with a copy of this resolution.
