RESOLUTION NO. 70R-397

A RESOLUTIPN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM! DENYING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NO. 1188.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive ~ request for a Conditional Use Permit from
Sheldon GOlison, own~r, to establish a private educational club
and day camp having outdoor facilities for children on C-l
(General Commercial Zone) on the following described property:
The West 50.00 feet of the East 253.00 feet of the North
257.00 feet of the northeast quarter of the southeast
quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South, Range 11 West
in the Rancho Lps Coyotes, City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 51, page 11, of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office
of the County R~corder of said County. Said land is
included within the area shown on a map filed in the
Office of the County Recorder of said Orange County, in
Book 13, page 44, of Parcel Maps, in the Office of the
Orange County Recorder.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at th~ City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said
request on June 29, 1970, notices of which said public hearing
were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18,
Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code: and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investi-
gation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. PC 70-111 denying Conditional Use
Permit No. 1188: and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal was
filed with the City Council protesting the action of the City
Planning Commission in denying said Conditional Use Permit and
said appeal was set for public hearing on August 4, 1970, at the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and notices of such public
hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code: and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, after careful
consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Com-
mission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
that Conditional Use Permit No. 1188 should be denied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Com-
mission denying Conditional Use Permit No. 1188 be, and the same
is hereby sustained, and that the request of Sheldon Golison to
establish a private educational club and day camp for children is
denied.
