RESOLUTION NO. 70R-368
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM CHANGING THE NAME FOR GARLAND STREET TO
SYMPHONY STREET IN TRACT NO. 6686.
WHEREAS, on the 9th day of July, 1970, the City
Planning Commission did duly pass and adopt its Resolution No.
PC70-1l9, finding that the stX'eetnameof GaX'land Street as
recorded in Tract No. 6686 will result in confusion, due to the
fact that the same name has been previously used and recorded in
Tract No. 6561, and finding and deteX'mining that there are no
street connections between these two tX'acts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that prior to the
adoption of said Re~olution No. PC70-1l9 the City Planning Com-
mission did duly hdld and conduct a pUblic hearing, notice of which
was duly given as required by law. and following said hearing did
adopt said Resolution No. PC70-1l9 finding and recommending to the
City Council of the City of Anaheim that the name of said street
should be changed as follows:
Garland Street be changed to Symphony Street; and
WHEREAS. the City Council finds that by reason of the
proximity of Tract~ 6561 and 6686 there is a conflict between the
names of said streets, and that the existence of streets of the
same names in two different tracts situated near each other, but
having no direct connection, is confusing to the public and will
continue to be contusing and misleading to the public by reason
of said similarity and does further find that such streets are so
situtated that they cannot be joined together as continuous
streets; and that by reason of the foregoing facts, public con-
venience and neces$ity requiX'e that the name of said street in said
Tract No. 6686 sho1Ald be changed to avoid public confusion and
inconvenience.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the name of' the street in Tract No. 6686
hereinabove mentioned be, and the same is hereby, changed as
follows:
Garland Street be changed to Symphony Street
and that henceforth and hereafter such street shall be known and
designated upon all maps by the name to which it is hereby changed.
