RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 342
A RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE COCTY OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY
KNOWN ANP DESIGNATED AS BALL-SUNKIST
ANNEXATION NO.3.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim did on the 3rd day of
March, 1970, receive a written consent that certain new territory
described in said consent be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS. said Local Agency Formation Commission authorized
the City of Anaheitn to annex said territory without notice and
hearing and without an election pursuant to the authority vested in
said Commission by Section 54797.1 of this Government Code; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is
uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
authorized to apprpve said annexation by resolution without notice
and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency Formation
Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim finds:
That the City of Anaheim did on the 3rd day of March,
1970, receive a written consent signed by all of the owners of the
land within the territory proposed to be annexed to said City of
Anaheim. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California,
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited
territory. That said consent signed by all of the owners of land
within the territory proposed to be annexed contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described.
That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex
said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri-
tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission and
said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexation
request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the
Government Code.
That on the 22nd day of April, 1970, the Local Agency
Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 70-64 in which
said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said terri-
tory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Government Code and
further approved such annexation of said territory without notice
or hearing.
That the Local Agency Formation Commission further, by
resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim to
annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City Council
and without the requirement that an election be held by the City
on the question of said annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Annexation of the terri-
tory included within the boundaries of the Ball-Sunkist Annexa-
tion No. 3 more particularly described as follows, to wit:

ANNEXATION TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing city limit line of
the City of Anaheim, said point being the southwest corner of
the Ball - Sunkist No. 2 Annexation, as established by the
Ball - Sunkist No. 2 Annexation, passed by Resolution No. 69R-
333, June 10, 1969, filed with the Secretary of State June 23,
1969 and recorded June 25, 1969, records of Orange County, Calif-
ornia, said point of beginning being distant from the southeast
corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 13, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M., the following courses and distances,
South 00 11' 20" West, 30 feet, North 890 55' 36" West, 660 feet,
more or less, said southeast corner of the Southwest quarter
being, for the purpose of this description, the centerline inter-
section of Ball Road and Sunkist Street, as said intersection is
shown on a Map of Survey filed in Book 83, page 31 of Record of
Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange
County, California~ thence
North 00 11' 20" East, 702 feet, more or less, following
along a portion of the said existing city limit line of the City
of Anaheim, being the southerly prolongation of the west line
and the west line of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 13, to an inter-
section with the southerly line of the north 665 feet of the
Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 13,
said point of intersection being a point in the existing city
limit line of the City of Anaheim as established by the Sunkist
Annexation to the City of Anaheim passed by Ordinance No. 2470,
January 23, 1968, filed with the Secretary of State February 23,
1968 and recorded February 23, 1968 records of Orange County,
California; thence
North 890 57' 45" West, 660 feet, more or less, leaving
the city limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by
said Ball - Sunkist No. 2 Annexation and following along a
portion of the city limit line as established by said Sunkist
Annexation, being a portion of the south line of the north 665
feet of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of said
Section 13, to an intersection with the westerly line of the
Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of said Section 13,
said point of intersection being a point in the existing city
limit line of the City of Anaheim as established by the South-
east Annexation No.2 to the City of Anaheim passed by Ordinance

State November 13, 1959 and recorded November 19, 1959, records
of Orange County, California~ thence
South 00 08' 27" West, 642 feet, more or less, leaving the
city limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by said
Sunkist Annexation and following along a portion of the existing
city limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the
said Southeast Annexation No.2, being a portion of the west
line of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of' said
Section 13, to an intersection with a line parallel with and
30 feet northerly, as measured at right angles to the centerline
of Ball Road, said point of intersection being a point in the
existing city limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established
by the Ball - Winston Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed
by Ordinance No. 2509, April 30, 1968, filed with the Secretary
of State May 31, 1968 and recorded June 7, 1968, records of
Orange County, California; thence
Leaving the city limit line of the City of Anaheim, as
established by said Southeast Annexation No.2, and following
along a portion of the existing city limit line, as established
by the last mentioned Ball - Winston Annexation, the following
courses and distances, South 890 55' 36" East, 330 feet, more
or less, South 00 13' 40" East, 60 feet to an intersection with
a line parallel with and 30 feet southerly, as measured at right
angles from the centerline of Ball Road; thence
South 890 55' 36" East, 329 feet, more or less, leaving
last mentioned city limit line of the City of Anaheim and fol-
lowing along the last mentioned parallel line to the point of
beginning.

is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to
and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and is hereby designated as the Ba11-
Sunkist Annexation No. 3 to the City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date
of the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a certi-
fied copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of
California, the an~exation of the territory herein described
shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth
such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes, a
part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective
date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject
to taxation equally with the property within the City of Anaheim
and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing
indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim contracted
prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant
to the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed
territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior
to the adoption of this resolution.
THE FORECSOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
