RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 257
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXE-
CUTION OF A SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH
SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY PRO-
VIDING FOR THE WIDENING AND IMPROVEMENT OF
BALL ROAD AT CROSSING NO. 6N-23.40.
WHEREAS, the City and Southern Pacific Company (pre-
decessor of Southern Pacific Transportation Company) entered into
an agreement on September 10, 1968, for the widening and improve-
ment of Ball Road at Crossing No. 6N-23.40; and
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Transportation Company
has submitted a supplemental agreement extending the time in
which the City is to commence construction of said highway to
June 11, 1971, which supplemental agreement the City Council finds
would be for the benefit and best interest of the City and should
be approved and executed on behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the supplemental agreement tendered to
the City Council by the Southern Pacific Transportation Company
extending the time in which the City is to commence construction
of said widening and improvement of Ball Road at Crossing No.
6N-23.40 to June 11, 1971, upon the terms and conditions therein
set forth, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said supplemental agreement on hehalf of the City.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 26th day of May , 1970.
