RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 256
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED AND
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim required the dedication of
the ultimate right of way for Lewis Street Railroad Crossing as
set forth in the easement deed towards which this resolution is
directed; and
WHEREAS, the owners of the real property involved have
tendered an easement deed covering said ultimate right of way for
a total consideration of $59,915.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the
best interests of the City to make such paYment and accept such
deed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it accept and it does hereby accept that
certain easement deed dated April 8, 1970, covering the following
described property:
An easement for road and public utility purposes, including
construction and maintenance of slope area, over, under and
across that portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 23,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51,
page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the West line of said
Northeast quarter with the Northeasterly line of the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Company's right of way (100
feet wide); thence along said West line, North 00 15' 29"
West, 632.63 feet; thence North 890 56' 01" East, 45.00
feet; thence South 00 15' 29" East, 100.00 feet; thence
North 890 44' 31" East, 13.00 feet; thence South 20 27' 44"
East 260.00 feet; thence South 70 32' 08" East, 228.90 feet;
thence South 00 15' 29" East, 170.89 feet to a point in a
curve concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 5649.65
feet, a radial line bearing South 620 07' 06" West, passes
through said point (said curve being concentric with and
distant Northeasterly 30 feet measured radially from the
Northeasterly line of said railway right of way); thence
Northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of
10 16' 25", an arc distance of 125.58 feet; thence South
890 44' 31" West, 33.45 feet to a point in the Northeasterly
line of said railway right of way, said point being in the
arc of a curve, concave Northeasterly and having a radius
of 5679.65 feet, a radial line bearing South 630 32' 30"
West passes through said point; thence Northwesterly along
said curve, through a central angle of 00 09' 01", an arc
distance of 14.90 feet to the point of beginning.
Together with all rights of access to Lewis Street from the
adjoining property to the east over and across those certain
courses described above as having the following bearings and
distances:
South 20 27' 44" East, 260.00 feet;
South 70 32' 08" East, 228.90 feet;
South 00 15' 29" East, 170.89 feet.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and she
is hereby authorized and directed to cause said easement deed to
be recorded.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director be,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to draw a warrant in the
amount of $59,915.00 payable to King-Seeley Thermos Co., to be
mailed to H. Robert Clark, Vice-President and General Manager,
King-Seeley Thermos Co., Norwich, Connecticut, said warrant to
be delivered to the Right of Way Division for transmittal and to
be charged to Work Order No. 566-B.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 26th day of May , 1970.
