A RESOLUT ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER FO THE FURNISHING OF ALL LABOR AND
EQUIPMENT TO CUT AND REMOVE ALL RANK GROWTH
AND WEEDS AND REMOVE RUBBISH, REFUSE AND DIRT
UPON ANY ARCEL OR PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
OR ANY P LIC STREET IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
WORK ORDE NO. 426-297.
WHEREAS, ~he City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be pUblishrd in a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published, I and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to
wit: The Anaheim BUlletin, on April 17th and April 24th, 1970,
a notice inviting s~aled proposals for furnishing the following:
All labor! and equipment to cut and remove all
rank grow~ and weeds and remove rubbish, re-
fuse and irt upon any parcel or parcels of
real prop rty or any public street in the City
of Anahei as directed by the Director of Public
Works andi Superintendent of Streets, Work Order
No. 426-2~7.
AND WHE~. , said notice inviting sealed proposals
for the cutting and removal of said rank growth and weeds and
the removal of said rubbish, refuse and dirt did provide that
sealed proposals w ld be received by the City of Anaheim at the
Office of the City. lerk of the City of Anaheim up to the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M. qn the 30th day of April, 1970, for the furnish-
ing of all labor aqd equipment to perform said work hereinabove
more particularly ~entioned and described; and
WHEREAS, ithe City Clerk of the City of Anaheim did
receive the follow~ng sealed proposals prior to 2:00 o'clock P.M.
on the 30th day of !April, 1970, in response to the notice afore-
said inviting seal~d proposals, to wit:

AND WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Superin-
tendent of Street~ldid thereupon examine and tabulate said sealed
proposals and didJeport to the City Council the result of his
examination and t ulation; and
WHEREAS, !the City Council finds that the sealed pro-

posal subm1tted by!HAROLD WATTS, 14091 Hope Street, Garden Grove,
California, is the i lowest responsible proposal submitted for the
furnishing of all ~abor and equipment to cut and remove said rank
growth and weeds a,d remove rubbish, refuse and dirt from said
parcel or parcels if real property and said streets, as specified
in the notice invi ing sealed proposals, and that said proposal
of said above-name bidder should be accepted and a contract
awarded to said bi~der in accordance therewith; and

WHEREAS, fhe City Council finds that the above-mentioned
sealed proposal. is he lowest responsible proposal received and
that the person, fi or corporation submitting said proposal is
a responsible perso , firm or corporation and that the proposal
submitted is the be,t suited and fitted for the work to be per-
formed.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahe~f that the sealed proposal submitted by
HAROLD WATTS, l409l!Hope Street, Garden Grove, California, for the
furnishing of all libor and equipment to cut and remove said rank
growth and weeds an remove rubbish, refuse and dirt from said
parcel or parcels 0 real property and said Streets as specified
in the notice invit ng sealed proposals and hereinabove mentioned
be, and the same is! hereby, accepted, and that a contract for the
cutting and removal I of said rank growth and weeds and removal of
said rubbish, refus~' and dirt from said parcel or parcels of
real property and s id streets be, and the same is hereby, awarded
to the said above-n ed bidder.
AND BE ITiFURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
shall be, and he is! hereby required to execute a contract in the
required form with the City of Anaheim upon the terms and condi-
tions specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals and the
proposal submitted Iy said successful bidder, and in accordance
with the terms, con itions, and provisions of this resolution,
and that said succe sful bidder to whom the contract is awarded
shall be required t furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to
one hundred per cen (100%) of the contract price for all labor
and equipment to be! furnished and performed, as set forth in the
sealed proposal su~itted by said bidder for the cutting and
removal of said rank growth and weeds and removal of said rubbish,
refuse and dirt as ~ecurity for the faithful performance of said
contract and a sep~ate surety bond in an amount equal to one
hundred per cent (lPO%) of the contract price as security for the
payment of all pers~ns performing labor and furnishing material
for said project.
AND BE IT! FURTHER RESOLVED that said successful bidder
be, and he is here~ required to furnish to the City of Anaheim
in companies satisf!actory to the City of Anaheim, public liability,
property damage, compensation, and other insurance in the amounts
and for the purpos~s as set forth and specified in the notice
inviting sealed prqposals, and subject to the approval of the City
Attorney as to fo~~and sufficiency.
AND BE I FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City f Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized
and directed to ma e, execute and enter into, for and on behalf
of the City of An eim, a written contract with said successful
bidder for the fur ishing of all labor and equipment to cut and
remove all rank gr wth and weeds and remove rubbish, refuse and
dirt'upon any pare ,lor parcels of real property or any public
street in the City !of Anaheim as directed by the Superintendent
of Streets, upon t~'e terms and conditions as specified in the
notice inviting se led proposals, and in strict accordance with
the terms and cond'tions and provisions of this resolution, and
in accordance with 'all of the contract documents herein specified.
