A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM PROPOSING A CHill~GE OF ORGANIZATION IN
THAT DISTRICT KNOWN AS THE BUENA PARK LIBRARY
DISTRICT BY THE DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN DESCRIBED
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN SAID DISTRICT, WHICH
REAL PROPERTY IS ALSO LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIN.
WHEREAS, the District Reorganization Act of 1965 (56000
through 56550 of the Government Code of the State of California)
provides for the change of organization of certain districts, such
as the Buena Park Library District, through the approval by the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County of detachments
of certain hereinafter described real property from said District
when said territory is also located within the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS. the City of An~leim desires that said real
property be detached from the Buena Park Library District in view
of the fact tllat said territory is presently assessed real property
taxes by the City of Anaheim and receives as part of said property
tax assessment library services from the City of Anaheim, and
WHEREAS. the requested change of organization is pro-
posed for the Buena Park Library District, as well as the City
of Anaheim; and
WHEfiliAS. the County of Orange, the Buena Park Library
District, and the City of Anaheim would be affected by this change
of organization requested herein; and
WHERE/iS, the present request of the City of Anaheim is
for detachment of certain territory constituting inhabited terri-
tory and described in Exhibit "An attached hereto and made a part
hereof as though fully set forth herein; and
WHEREAS. landowners and residents within the territory
described in Exhibit "A" desire to avoid the burden of double
taxation imposed upon their property described herein and wish
to avoid any future liability for bonded indebtedness of the Buena
Park Library District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it hereby requests that a change of
organization of the Buena Park Library District be approved by
the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County through
the detachment of certain real property described in Exhibit "A'!,
characterized as inhabited territory, in order to prevent the
burden of double property taxation on said landowners.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Orange County be requested to order the Buena Park
Library District to adopt a resolution to detach the territory
described herein in Exhibit itA", without the necessity of notice
or hearing by said Library District and without the necessity of
an election on the issue of said detachment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that should the Local Agency
Formation Commission of Orange County determine that an election
is necessary upon the question of confirming an order for detach-

ment of the aforementioned and described territory described in
Exhibi t "A", that said Local Agency Formation Commission be
requested pursuant to Section 56252(a) of the Government Code to
determine that such election shall be called, held and conducted
upon the question of said detachment only within the territory
described in Exhibit "Ai' which is proposed to be detached.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by

That parcel of land located in ~1e City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing city limit line of the City
of Anaheim, said point being the southwest corner of the Butler-
Harbour Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No.
1103, November 27, 1956, filed with the Secretary of State Decem-
ber 31, 1956 and recorded January 8, 1957, records of Orange
County, California, said point of beginning and southwest corner
of said Butler-Harbour Annexation being the point of intersection
of the westerly line of the East half of the Southwest quarter of
Section 12, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M. with the
northerly line of the SOU~l half of the Southwest quarter of said
Section 12, said point of beginning also being a point in the
southerly boundary line described in tile formation of the Buena
Park Library District as described in document recorded July 31,
1964 in Book 7159, page 341, records of Orange County California,
thence
North 890 49' 45" East, 100 feet, more or less, along a portion of
the northerly line of the South half of the Southwest quarter of
said Section 12, being a portion of the soue1erly boundary line
of said Buena Park Library District, also being the southerly line
of the said city limit line of the City of ~~aheim as established
by said Butler--Harbour Annexation, to an intersection with a line
parallel with and 30 feet westerly of the centerline of Bel Air
Street, said point of intersection being a point in the existing
city limit line of the City of Anaheim established as the south-
east corner of the aforementioned Butler...Harbour Annexation to the
Ci ty of .Anaheim, ~1ence
Leaving the southerly boundary line of said Buena Park Library Dis-
trict and following along the existing city limit line of the City
of Anaheim as established by the aforementioned Butler-Harbour
Annexation, also being a portion of the said existing Buena Park
City Limit Line as established by the Tract No. 3058 Annexation
to the City of Buena Park passed by Ordinance No. 215, January
29, 1957, the following courses and distances, North 00 10' 1511
West, 20.59 feet, more less, along the last mentioned parallel
line to the beginning of a tangent curve concave easterly and
having a radius of 430 feet, thence
Nor~1erly along said curve through a central angle of 10 03' 33"
an arc distance of 7.95 feet to an intersection with the southerly
line of Lot 39 of Tract No. 3058 as sh~ln on a Map recorded in
Book 91, pages 10 and 11 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, a radial line bearing North 890 06' 42" Nest,
passes through said point of intersection; thence
South 89049' 451' West, 100.07 feet, more or less, along the
southerly line of Lot 39 of said Tract No. 3058 to an intersection
with the westerly line of the East half of the Southwest quarter
of Section 12, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M.i thence
South 00 10' ISH East, 28.54 feet, more or less, along a portion
of the westerly line of the East half of ~1e Southwest quarter of
said Section 12, to the point of beginning.
EXHIBIT "All
