A RESOLUTIO~ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIN !J>ENYING VARIANCE NO. 2154
hmEREAS, th$ City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for zoning variance from The Covington
Brothers, a partnershp, as agent for Dominic C. Etchandy, owner
of certa~n real propety s~tuated in the City 0 Ana e~m, County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
The Northwest quar~er of the Southeast quarter of Section 14, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 51, page 11, Miscellaneous Maps, records
of said Orange County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 503 feet thereof, as conveyed to
Savanna School Dist~ict of Orange County by deeds recorded May
19, 1960 in Book 52i51, pages 303 and 305, of Official Records.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the West 148 feet of the North 148 feet
of the South 651 felet thereof as conveyed to Robert D. Etchandy
and wife, by deed recorded May 11, 1954, in Book 2725, page 9,
Official Records.
ALSO EXCEPTING FROM the remainder the East 533 feet thereof, as
conveyed to the City of Anaheim, by deed recorded November 1, 1962
in Book 6307, page 463, Official Records.
ALSO EXCEPTING THER$FROM that portion thereof lying Northerly of
the Southeasterly 1,ine of the 70-foot strip condemned by the Orange
County Flood Control District in Decree recorded March 1, 1962
in Book 6025, page 242, Official Records.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
February 25 , 19 70 , notice of which said public hearing
was duly given as required by law and the provisions of Title
18, Chapter 18.76 of ~he Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in its
behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports
offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No. PC70-22
denying said variance
and
WHEREAS, thereafter within twenty-two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council
did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by the
City Planning Commission in denying said variance and did
set a public hearing thereon to be held on the 31st day of
March , 19 70, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall in
the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hearing was duly
given as required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter
18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and

WHEREASI, the City Council does find that:
There is no substantial property right possessed
by other property in the same vicinity and zone
and de~ed the subject property.
It appe~s the subject property can be adequately
deve1op~d and used under the present zone.

NOW, T~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of AnaheiJ'n that the action of the City Planning Commis-
sion in denying sa~d variance be and the same is hereby sustained.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 31st day of March, 1970.
