RESOLUTION NO. 70R-147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A JOINT POWERS AGREE-
MENT ESTABLISHING THE "PUBLIC AGENCIES
DATA SYSTEMS".
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
determined that there is a need by public agencies for a cen-
tralized data processing system; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that data processing is of value on an
individual and mutual basis; and
WHEREAS, a centralized data processing system can
adequately serve the needs of various public agencies; and
WHEREAS, Title 1, Division 7, Chapter 5 of the Govern-
ment Code of the State of California authorizes joint exercises
by two or more public agencies of any power common to them; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim to jointly provide for and maintain a data pro-
cessing system for the advantage and concern of the City of Ana-
heim.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of a Joint
Powers Agreement creating and establishing the "Public Agencies
Data Systems" which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim be, and the same hereby are approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to
execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 24th day of March, 1970.
