RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 140
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CJ:TY OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY
KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS STRUCK-KATELLA
ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS. the City of Anaheim did on the 10th day of
February, 1970, submit to the Local Agency Formation Commission
proof of written consent signed by all of the owners of the land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission
authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without
notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to the
authority vested in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of
the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to
said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State
of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and
is uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a des-
cription of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter
in this resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
is authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without
notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency
Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government
Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim finds:
That the City of Anaheim did on the 10th day of February,
1970, submit to the Local Agency Formation Commission proof of
written consent signed by all of the owners of the land within
the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim.
That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim
is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is
contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory.
That said consent signed by all of the owners of land within
the territory proposed to be annexed contained a description of
said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
resolution described.
That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex
said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri-
tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission
and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa-
tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1
of the Government Code.
That on the 25th day of February, 1970, the Local
Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 70-34
in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex
said territory in aocordance with Section 54797.1 of the
Government Code and further approved such annexation of said
territory without notice or hearing.

That the Local Agency Formation Commission further,
by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim
to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City
Council and without the requirement that an election be held
by the City on the question of said Annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Annexation of the
territory included within the boundaries of the

That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line of
the City of Anaheim as established by the Placentia and Cer-
ritos Annexation to the City of Anaheim passed by Ordinance
1380, September 8, 1959 and filed with the Secretary of State
October 13, 1959, said point of beginning being distant from
the centerline intersection of Katella Avenue (formerly
Struck Avenue) and Douglass Road the following courses and
distances, North 880 53' 52" West, 1,469.32 feet, South 10
06' 08" West, 30 feet; thence
Leaving the said existing City limit line of the Ci ty of
Anaheim North 10 06' 08" East, 30 feet to the point of begin-
ning of the line described in the deed to the S ta te of Ca1if-
ornia recorded April 20, 1967, in Book 8229, pages 953
through 955, records of Orange County California; thence
Following along a portion of the line described in the
last mentioned deed to the State of California the following
courses and distances, North 10 06' 08" East, 30 feet to a
point in a curve concave southerly having a radius of 1,060.00
feet, a radial line bearing North 120 33' 42" West passes
through said point; thence along said curve easterly from a
tangent which bears North 770 26' 18" East, through a cen-
tral angle of 50 16' 19" an arc distance of 97.53 feet to a
reverse curve concave northwesterly having a radius of 50
feet~ thence along said reverse curve northeasterly from a
tangent which bears North 820 42' 37" East, through a cen-
tral angle of 810 361 29" an arc distance of 71.22 feet;
thence tangent to said last mentioned curve North 10 061 08"
East, 150.79 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve con-
cave easterly, and having a radius of 200 feet; thence north-
easterly along last mentioned curve, through a central angle
of 430 50' 44" an arc distance of 153.05 feet to an inter-
section with a line parallel with and distant westerly 489.66

feet from the easterly line of Lot 5, the Travis Tract, as
shown on a Map recorded in Book 5, page 120 of Miscellaneous
Records in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County California; thence leaving the line described in the
last mentioned deed to said State of California South 010 031
17" West, 328.92 feet along the last mentioned parallel line
to an intersection with the line described in the deed to the
State of California in deed recorded September 18, 1964, in
Book 7224, page 301, records of Orange County California,
said point of intersection being a point in a curve concave
southerly and having a radius of 1,060 feet a radial line
bearing North 10 55' 28" West, passes through said point of
intersection; thence
Following along a portion of the line described in the
last mentioned deed to the State of California, easterly
along the last mentioned curve through a central angle of
30 01' 36" an arc distance of 56 feet, to an intersection
with a line parallel with and 60 feet northerly as measured
at right angles from the centerline of Katel1a Avenue (for-
merly known as Struck Avenue); thence South 880 53' 52" East,
23.78 feet along said parallel line tangent to the last men-
tioned curve to an angle point in the line described in the
last mentioned deed to the State of California; thence North
280 15' 55" East, 257.38 feet; thence North 240 58' 32" East,
607.25 feet to an intersection with the west line of the east
46 feet of Lot 5 of said Travis Tract as shown on a Map re-
corded in Book 5, page 120 of Miscellaneous Records in the
office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County Ca1if-
ornia; thence
Leaving the line described in the last mentioned deed
to the State of California North 10 03' 17" East, 237.38 feet
along a portion of the west line of the east 46 feet of said
Lot 5 of the Travis Tract to an intersection with the northerly

Following along a portion of the north line of. Lot 5
of the said Travis Tract North 880 521 43" West, 850.88 feet
to the northeast corner of the land described in the deed
recorded December 19, 1963 in Book 6852, page 129, records
of Orange County California; thence
Following along the easterly line of the land described
in the last mentioned deed and the southerly prolongation
thereof South 10 031 17" West, 1,111 feet, more or less, to
an intersection with a line parallel with and 30 feet south-
erly of the centerline of Howell Avenue, formerly known as
Struck Avenue, said point of intersection being a point in
the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, as estab-
lished by the aforementioned Placentia and Cerritos Annex-
ation to the City of Anaheim; thence
Following along the said existing City limit line of
the City of Anaheim being the last mentioned parallel line

is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to
and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and is hereby designated as the
~JUCK-KATELLA
ANNEXATION to the C1ty of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date
of the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a certi-
fied copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State
of California, the annexation of the territory herein described
shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth
such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes,
a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective
date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject
to taxation equally with the property within the City of Anaheim
and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing
indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim contracted
prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant
to the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed
territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior
to the adoption of this resolution.
