A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEItl ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC
STREET UNPERPASS PURPOSES IN CONNECTION WITH
THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE KATELLA AVENUE UNDER-
PASS.
It became necessary to acquire an easement for public
street underpass pu~poses upon, under and across certain land
in the City of Anaheim owned by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa
Fe Railway Company; and
WHEREAS, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company has furnished to the City of Anaheim a fully executed
easement dated Dece~er 21, 1967, donating a total area of approxi-
mately 0.502 acres of land to the City for public street underpass
construction and maintenance purposes; and
WHEREAS, said easement includes that certain parcel of
land in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
being a portion of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company1s 100-foot wide right of way in the Rancho Santiago de
Santa Ana, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of said
100 foot wide right of way, said point being also the
most easterly corner of that certain 0.357 of an acre
parcel of land described in easement to said City of
Anaheim recorded January 5, 1965, as Docket Number
1615, Book 7370, page 105, Official Records of said
County; thence South 700 531 00" East (bearing assumed
for the purpose of this description) alon said north-
easterly right of way line 40.31 feet to a point in
a line parallel with and distant southeasterly 35.00
feet measured at right angles from the southeasterly
boundary of said easement; thence South 480 521 25"
West along said parallel line 115.19 feet to a point
in the southwesterly line of said 100 foot wide right
of way; thence North 700 531 00" West along said
southwesterly line being also the southwesterly boundary
of said easement and its southeasterly and northwesterly
prolongation 218.85 feet to a point in a line parallel
with and distant northwesterly 35.00 feet measured at
right angles from the most northwesterly boundary of
said easement; thence North 480 521 25" East along
last said parallel line 115.19 feet to a point in said
northeasterly right of way line, distant South 700 531
00" East along last said northeasterly line 519.06
feet from the westerly boundary of said Rancho; thence
South 730 531 00" East along last said northeasterly
line being also the northeasterly boundary of said
easement and its northwesterly prolongation 178.54 feet
to the point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it accept, and it does hereby accept,
that certain Deed of Easement from the Atchison, Topeka and Santa
Fe Railway Company covering the easement hereinbefore described.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city Clerk be, and
she is hereby autho~ized and directed to cause said easement to
be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County
of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 24th day of February, 1970.
