RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 105
A RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE~M, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIO~ OF A LEASE BETWEEN A. F. SCHROEDER
AND LOUI~E SCHROEDER AS LESSORS AND THE CITY
OF ANAHE~M AS LESSEE, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT
OF RENTAL.
WHEREAS, .the City of Anaheim has heretofore exercised
its option to purcijase 9.57 gross acres of land adjacent to the
Convention Center trom the Schroedersi and
WHEREAS, in connection with the exercises of said option,
it is the desire o~ the Schroeders that the property be leased to
the City of Anahei~ until such time as the City property facing
on Harbor Boulevard is developed by the CitYi and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the city to exercise its option of purchase by means
of this lease agreement to which reference has been made; and
WHEREAS, the annual lease payments of $47,500.00 repre-
sent a fair and re.sonable lease payment until such time as the
property is purcha$ed by the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THE1mFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahei~ that the lease agreement tendered to the
City of Anaheim by A. F. Schroeder and Louise Schroeder to be
made and entered into between the parties covering the following
described property be, and the same is hereby approved. Said
property is described as that certain real property situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
The West half of the South half of the Northwest quarter
of the Northwest quarter, Section 27, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, partly in the Rancho Las Bolsas and partly
in the San Ju~n Cajon de Santa Ana, all in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as per
map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps
in the Office of the County Recorder of said County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby authorized, to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Director
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to draw a warrant
of the City of Anaheim in favor of A. F. Schroeder and Louise
Schroeder in the amount of $47,500.00 for the first annual
rental and deliver the same to the Office of the City Attorney
for transmittal.
