A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM MAKING A PROPOSAL FOR A
DISTRICT REORGANIZATION DESIGNATED AS ORANGE
COUNTY REORGANIZATION NO. 67, AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 83R~291.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to annex into its
boundaries certain unincorporated and uninhabited territory
designated as Lakeview-Orangethorpe No. 6 Annexation to the City
of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, in conjunction with said annexation, the City of
Anaheim desires that certain property be detached from the Yorba
Linda County Water District and the Yorba Linda Library District
as hereinafter described: and
WHEREAS, said City desires to extend the full range of
municipal services to said territory in order to better serve the
needs of said property, its owners and inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, said City desires this resolution to be deemed a
resolution of application proposing a district reorganization
pursuant to Sections 56000 et seq. of the Government Code of the
State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the within proposal is made pursuant to Section
56130 of the District Reorganization Act of 1965 as set forth in
Title 6, Division 1, Part 2 of the Government Code of the State of
California.
2. That the nature of the proposed district reorganization
is for the detachment of the hereinafter described unincorporated
and uninhabited territory from the Yorba Linda County Water
District and the Yorba Linda Library District as hereinafter set
forth.
3. That said detachment be, and the same is hereby,
designated as "Orange County Reorganization No. 67" and the
boundaries of said affected territory and the respective districts
from which said detachment is proposed are described as set forth
on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference.
A map showing the aforesaid boundaries and designated
"Orange County Reorganization No. 67" is submitted concurrently
with and accompanies this Resolution.
4. That the reasons for the proposed district reorganization
is to provide full municipal services in an efficient and
economical manner.
5. That the City of Anaheim is hereby designated as the
chief petitioner with regard to this application and the mailing
address of said petitioner is as follows:

6. That the City of Anaheim does hereby request that
detachment proceedings be taken and commenced for a district
reorganization in connection with the hereinabove described
territory pursuant to the provisions of said District
Reorganization Act of 1965.
7. That pursuant to Section 99(c) of the Revenue and
Taxation Code of the State of California, the City of Anaheim
hereby requests that all property tax revenues which would have
accrued pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code Section 97.5 to the
Yorba Linda County Water District and the Yorba Linda Library
District within the territory annexed to the City of Anaheim, had
it remained within said districts, shall be reallocated to the
City of Anaheim to commence in the first fiscal year in which the
annexation is effective for tax purposes as provided in Government
Code Section 54902 and continuing each year thereafter.
8. That a certified copy of this resolution be transmitted
to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange and the Board
is hereby requested to adopt a resolution approving the foregoing
tax reallocation and to notify the Executive Officer of the Local
Agency Formation Commission and the Auditor-Controller of the
County of Orange of the Board's determination in this regard.
9. That Resolution No. 83R-29l is hereby rescinded.
