RESOLUTION NO. 83R-336
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
UTILITIES SERVICE CENTER MATERIAL STORAGE AREA
PAVING, SIO SOUTH STREET, IN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NOS. 5l-699-6329-0957M-37l0A
AND 55-699-6329-0957M-3900A.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity
construction and completion of a public improvement in
Anaheim, to wit:
require the
the City of
Utili ties Service Center mater ial storage area paving,
258' south of South Street to 500' south of South
Street, east side of service road, in the City of
Anaheim, consisting of excavation; removal of curb and
gutter; construction of P.C.C. gutter; construction of
asphal t concrete; construction of base mater ial; con-
struction of 3w x 6" redwood header; removal of rubble
pile; and appurtenant wor k as shown on the plans and
delineated in the specifications on file in the office
of the City Engineer, Account Nos. 5l-699-6329-0957M-
-37l0A and 55-699-6329-0957M-3900A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council instructed
Department to prepare detailed designs, plans,
and specifications, and estimates of quantities
necessary surveys for the construction of said

profiles, drawings
and costs and make
public improvement;
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of said public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said pub-
lic improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good en-
gineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and require-
ments of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said
area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that they
are adequate for the construction of said public improvement and
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descr ibed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Department and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ci ty Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to pub-
lish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the
furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and
water, and performing all work necessary to construct and com-
plete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and speci-
fications as prepared by said Public Works Department, the public
improvements here inabove mentioned and descr ibed, and fixing the
29th day of September, 1983, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as
the date and hour for the opening of said bids at the City Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anahe im, and that said
notice shall be published twice, the first of which publications
shall be at least ten (lO) days prior to the date fixed for the
opening of bids, and that said publications shall be at least five
(5) days apart.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anahe im for the construction, installation and com-
pletion of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and des-
cr ibed ~ in accordance with the plans and spec i fica t ions prepared
by said Public Works Department, the notice inviting sealed pro-
posals, this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code
Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the
time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 30th day of August, 1983.
