RESOLUTION NO. 83R-364
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING A TRAINING ALLOWANCE
TO PERSONS RECEIVING TRAINING UNDER THE
HOUSING REPAIR PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has been granted funds by
the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for
the Community Development Block Grant Program to provide training
and on-site experience in housing repair and maintenance in
connection with its Housing Repair Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for the
benefit and in the best interests of the City to continue to
operate the Housing Repair Program; and
WHEREAS, as part of that Housing Repair Program, persons
receiving training will be provided a training allowance as
follows:
(1) $2.70 per hour for each hour of training said
trainees will attend;
(2) Training will be conducted approximately 35 hours
per week; and
(3) Trainees will average approximately nine (9) months
each to complete said Housing Repair Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that a training allowance for trainees in the
Housing Repair Program be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Human Resources
Department be, and it is hereby, authorized to coordinate the
training of said trainees.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Department
be, and it is hereby, authorized to issue warrants to said
trainees at the rate of $2.70 per hour for each hour of training
for approximately 35 hours per week.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
