83R-267 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR UNREPRESENTED PART-TIME
JOB CLASSIFICATIONS.
WHEREAS, the Human tesources Director has recommended in a staff
report dated October 4, 1983 that retirement benefits be paid to those
part-time employees who work thirty hours per week on an on-going basis, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No.
83R-267 which established rates of compensation for Unrepresented Part-Time
job classifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
retirement benefits paid to those part-time employees who work thirty hours
per week on an on-going basis is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 83R-267 is amended to add section 8 as follows:
Section 8.
Employees hired to work part-time for thirty hours per week on an on-going
basis in any of the classifications listed in Section 1 of Resolution No.
83R-267 except for Administration Interns, Library Pages and Police Cadets
will be paid retirement benefits as defined by current Public Employment
Retirement System Law. The payment of the retirement contribution by the City
or the employee shall be made in the same manner as those paid for equivalent
full time job classifications.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of ~his resolution
shall be October 7, 1983.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, Resolution
No.83R 267 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 11th day ----------- of October.
