RESOLUTION NO. 83R-451
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING THAT THE PROVISION OF LOW AND
MODERATE INCOME HOUSING OUTSIDE THE RIVER VALLEY
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA AND THE USE OF TAX
INCREMENT REVENUES THEREFORE WILL BE OF BENEFIT
TO THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
(Health and Safety Code, Section 33000 et seq.) provides that
under certain circumstances a proportion of the taxes which are
allocated to the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency pursuant to
Section 33670 for the River Valley Redevelopment Project shall
be used by the Agency for the purposes of increasing and
improving the City's supply of housing for persons and families
of low or moderate income and very low income households; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Redevelopment Plan for the River
Valley Redevelopment project provides that no residential uses
shall be permitted in the project area upon completion of
redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, said proposed Redevelopment Plan further
provides for industrial and commercial uses to be located
within the project area, which uses will be depended upon in
significant part by their employees and customers and other
residents within the City of Anaheim, outside of tae Project
area, including persons and families of low and moderate income.
NOW, THEREFORa, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
The Anaheim City Council hereby finds and determines
that the provision of low and moderate income housing outside
the River Valley Redevelopment Project area and the use of tax
increment revenues therefore will be of benefit to the Project.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 22nd day
of November , 1983.
