A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM!FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC~ AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND CqMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
TRAFFIC SIjNAL MAINTENANCE - CITYWIDE
IN THE CIT OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NOS.

AND
WHEREAS, pqblic convenience and necessity require the
construction and com~letion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wi t : .
Citywide traffi~ signal maintenance, in the City of
Anaheim, consis~ing of providing routine preventive
maintenance, re air and service; accident damage
repairs; record and supervision of the maintenance for
the City's traf ic signals and appurtenant equipment in
accordance with the specifications on file in the
office of the City Engineer, Account Nos. 01-263-6235,
01-263-6240, 01 263-6750 and 01-263-6752; and
WHEREAS, t~e City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepare detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, a d estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fori the construction of said public improvement;
and
WHEREAS, saiid Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, Pla~s, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of s id public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Coun il; and
WHEREAS, th~ City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profi~es, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement abpve mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice ~nd are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the C~ty of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate for. the construction of said pUblic improvement
and should be approve~.
NOW, THEREFpRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that ~he detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specific~tions for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and describ~d be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared bY said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Departm~nt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor. .
BE IT FURTaER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s~e is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice accdrding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d~signs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifi-
cations as prepared by said Public Works Department, the public
improvements hereinabove mentioned and described, and fixing the
5th day of January, ~984, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the
date and hour for the opening of said bids at the City Council
Chamber in the City aall in the City of Anaheim, and that said
notice shall be published twice, the first of which publications
shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the
opening Qf bids, and Ithat said publications shall be at least five
(5) days apart. I
BE IT FURTaER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req~ired to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the ma~ner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim Bor the construction, installation and comple-
tion of said public i~provement hereinabove mentioned and de-
scribed, in accordanc~ with the plans and specifications prepared
by said Public Works Pepartment, the notice inviting sealed propo-
sals, this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code
Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the
time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals, and in a fbrm approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOI~G RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of December,
1983.
