RESOLUTION NO. 83R-478
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN OF
DRAINAGE FOR THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
heretofore adopted its Resolution No. 74R-ll adopting and ap-
proving the Master Plan of Drainage for the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, the City desires to amend said Master Plan of
Drainage to establish and adopt a drainage plan for each of
those certain drainage areas described herein as Districts 42
and 43, respectively; and
WHEREAS, the drainage plan for said District 42 is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" hereof, and is incorpor-
ated herein by this reference as if set forth in full herein;
and
WHEREAS, the drainage plan for said District 43 is
attached hereto, marked Exhibit "B" hereof, and is incorpor-
ated herein by this reference as if set forth in full herein;
and
WHEREAS, the drainage plans for said Districts 42 and
43 each contain an estimate of the total costs of constructing
the local drainage facilities required by each such drainage
plan and a map of such area showing the district boundaries
and the location of such facilities; and
WHEREAS, subdivision and development of property with-
in each such District will require the construction of the
local drainage facilities described in the drainage plan for
each such District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange acting as the legislative body of the Orange County
Flood Control District has, by Resolution No. 83-1660, deter-
mined that said drainage plans for Districts 42 and 43 are in
conformity with the general plan of the Orange County Flood
Control District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim has heretofore recommended to the City Council the
amendment of the Master Plan of Drainage for the City of
Anaheim to add the drainage plans for Districts 42 and 43
thereto.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Master Plan of Drainage for the
City of Anaheim be, and the same is hereby, amended by the
addition thereto of the drainage plans for Districts 42 and 43
which drainage plans are respectively set forth on Exhibits
"A" and "B" hereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of December,
1983.

~STER PLAN FOR DRAINAGE
~ISTRICT 43
EXISTING CONDITIONS .
District 43 consists of land that is part of several large
ranches that are in the process of development.
The District is comprised of 4 separate drainage areas
which drain from the south side of Santa Ana Canyon Road
through 4 separate culverts under Santa Ana Canyon Road
and the Riverside Freeway into the Santa Ana River.
FUTURE .FACILITIES .
AREA .1
The easterly portion of Area 1 consists of local 33" and
36" storm drain facilities presently under design and/or
-eonstruction which discharge into a 60" storm drain that
discharges into the Santa Ana River at point A on a inter-
rim basis. When the ultimate Santa Ana River Improvements
are completed this discharge point will be shifted approx-
-imately 2000' to the west to pont B and combined with
another 60" storm drain from the south.
AREA 2
Area 2 consists of future facilities varying in size from a
30" RCP to an 81x 8' RCB which will pass through Area 1 and
discharge into the Santa Ana Canyon River.
AREA 3
Area 3 consists of future facilities varying in size from a
30" RCP S/o the future alignment Of Monte Vista Road to an
8'x 8' RCB which will join the existing 8'x 8' RCB at the
Riverside Freeway.
AREA 4
Area 4 consists of a 36" RCP which will join the existing 60"
CMF that crosses under Santa Ana Canyon Road and the River-
side Freeway and discharges into the Santa Ana River upstream
of Horseshoe Bend.
ESTIMATED COST OF FUTURE FACILITIES
District 43 - $6,900,000.00

1)ISTRICT 42
EXISTING CONDITIQNS
District 42 consists of several storm drain systems which
originate N/O Esperanza Road in the City of Yorba Linda
and outfall into the Santa Ana River. The district is
nearly totally developed and all storm drain systems have
.been installed with the exception of the extreme easterly
portion of the district adjacent to Weir Canyon Road.
FUTURE FACILITIES,
The existing 66" storm dzain should be extended north from
the La Palma Avenue/Weir Canyon Road intersection to join
the existing culvert at the south side of the A.T.S.S.F.
Railroad.
Catch basin inlets should be constructed to connect to the
. 36" storm drain on the north side of La Palma Avenue W/o
Weir Canyon Road.
