RESOLUTI ON NO. 70R- 83
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING CERTAIN ITEMS OF THE RATE
SCHEDULE, RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE SALE
AND DISTRIBUTION OF ELECTRIC ENERGY AS ADOPTED
BY RESOLUTION NO. 66R-531.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim does distribute electric energy
to certain customers who live in Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Utilities Department has recommended a re-
duction of rates and changes in the special conditions for the sale of
electric energy to certain domestic, commercial and industrial customers;
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
rates and special conditions as recommended and set forth herein are fair,
just and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Domestic Service Schedule D-3 be and the same hereby
is amended as fol lows:

First 12 KWH or less per meter per month $1.10
Next 33 KWH per meter per month 4.4e per KWH
Next 60 KWH per meter per month 3.0e per KWH
Next 105 KWH per meter per month 2.0e per KWH
Next 690 KWH per meter per month 1.4e per KWH
All Excess KWH per meter per month 1.2e per KWH
RATE B:
Fi rst 210 KWH per Rate A per meter per month
Next 450 KWH per meter per month 1.0e per KWH
Next 240 KWH per meter per month 1.4e per KWH
Over 900 KWH per meter per month 1.2e per KWH
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
(f) Where all of the single family accommodations in an
apartment house, court group or similar multifamily
accommodations are on a single meter, the customer
shall have the following option:
(1) to be billed on General Service Schedule A-3 or
(2) to be billed on the appl icable "A", liB", or "C"
rate of this schedule, multiplied by the number of
single family accommodations on the meter, less the
number of single family accommodations on the meter
multiplied by $0.60.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that General Service Schedule A-3 be
and the same hereby is amended as follows:

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
VOLTAGE
(E) A maximum demand meter will be installed when, in the opinIon
of the Util ities Department, the customer's load and use
characteristics indicate that the maximum demand may exceed
20 KW or when the customer's use exceeds 3,000 KWH per month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that General Service Schedule A-4 be
and the same hereby is amended as follows:
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
B. Bil ling Demand:
The bill ing demand in any month shall be the average kilowatt
input indicated or recorded by instruments to be supplied, owned,
and maintained by the City and at the City's expense upon the
consumer's premises adjacent to the watt-hour meter, in the 15
minute interval in which the consumption of electric energy is
greater than in any other 15 mi nute interval in the month, but
not less than either (1) 50% of the contracted for load, or (2)
50% of the highest bi lling demand in the preceding eleven months,
whichever is the greater. However, in no case shall the billing
demand be less than the minimum billing demand. Billing demand
shall be determined to the nearest 1/10 KW. Whenever the
measured maximum demand has exceeded 400 KW for three consecutive
months and thereafter until it has fallen below 300 KW for 12
consecutive months, a 30 minute interval will be used. Where the
demand is intermittent or subjected to violent fluctuations, the
maximum demand may be based on a shorter interval.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that amended rates and special conditions
hereunder shall become effective on all bills rendered to consumers
reflecting consumption for any complete billing period commencing on or
after the first day of March, 1970.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as hereinabove amended the
provisions of Schedules D-3, A-3 and A-4 shall remain in full force and
effect.
