RESOLUTION NO. 69R- 668
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE~ ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT DEED FOR
PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES IN, OVER, UNDER, ALONG
AND ACROSS CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE SOUTHERN
PACIFIC COMPANY AT CROSSING NO. BAA-Sll.4.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation of
the State of Delaware, has tendered to the City of Anaheim an
easement deed granting to the City of Anaheim an easement for street
widening purposes in, over, under, along, upon and across the
following described real property:
A strip of land 64 feet wide situate, lying and being in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
lying equally 32.0 feet on each side of the following
described center line:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the northerly
line of land (60 feet wide) of Southern Pacific Company
with the center line of Nutwood Street, said point being
22.0 feet northerly, measured at right angles from the
center line of Southern Pacific Company's main track
(Stanton Branch) at Engineer's Station l37+S0; thence
southerly along the southerly prolongation of said center
line of Nutwood Street, and also the north-south quarter
section line of Section 20, Township 4 South, Range 10
West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, 60 feet to a point
in the southerly line of said Company's land.
The side lines of the above described 64 foot wide strip
of land terminate in said southerly and northerly lines
of said Company's land.
Said strip of land contains an area of 3840 square feet,
more or less.
AND, WHEIEAS, said grantor has tendered to the City
said above-mentioned easement deed to be executed by the Southern
Pacific Company and the City of Anaheim, which easement deed the
City Council finds would be for the benefit and best interests
of the City of Anaheim and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the above mentioned easement deed tendered
to the City by the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation of
the State of Delaware, granting to the City, but subject to the
reservations, covenants and conditions therein contained, an ease-
ment for street widening purposes in, over, under, along, upon
and across the real property hereinabove mentioned and described
be, and the same is hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said easement deed
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
