A RESOLUTIION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FIINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPL TION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
THE IMPRO MENT OF FEE ANNA STREET, FROM LA PALMA
AVENUE TO! PROXIMATELY FEET SOUTH THEREOF,

APPROVIN~ THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIrICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZI~G THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETCo; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit: . The improvement of Fee Anna Street from
La Palma Avenue to approximately 700 feet south thereof, in
the City of Anaheim, consisting of excavation, construction of
asphalt concrete pa~ement over aggregate base; installation of
paddle boards; reloqation of traffic sign; adjustment of water
valve box to grade, and appurtenant work as more particularly
set forth in the pl~s and specifications on file in the Office
of the City Clerk or City Engineer, Work Order No. 503.
AND WHERE~, the City Council instructed
th~ Dep~~t~nt of ~qbltc Works to prepare detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dra ings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, said Deg&rtmeot ft pUQtic .prts
prepared said detailed des1gns, plans, pro ~res, draw~ngs and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs, plans, prof~les, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement apove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
has

residents in said ar~a for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that t~ey are adequate for the construction of
said public improve~nt and should be approved.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE lT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifipations for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and pescribed, be, and the same are hereby,
approved and adopted! as prepared by said Department
of Public Works .

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, draWings and specifications as prepared by said
Depart nt of Public Works and hereby
approved, and such a denda or modifications thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FU~HER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all u~ilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a qpod an~workmanlike manner, in strict accor-
dance wi t1~ s,aid de1;.,le<jl.d,9signs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as prbpared by said Department of
Public Works , the public improvement herei^nabove men-
tioned and described, and fixing the 11th day of December
1969 , at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour
for-tne opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (lO) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bid~ers shall be ~equired to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in tpe manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of tne City' of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and speci-
fications prepared by said Department of Public Works
, the notice invit1ng sealed proposals,
this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code
Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within
the time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting
sealed proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attorney.
