RESOLUTION NO. 83R-127

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN DESIG-
NATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 183, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the recommend-
ations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim, adopted
a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of March, 1983, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public hear-
ing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan
Amendment does consider (1) incorporating the designation "Solid
Waste Facility (including transfer stations and facilities)" on
the Land Use Element, and (2) changing the land use designation
for the area of land consisting of approximately 2.6 acres located
at the westerly terminus of White Star Avenue and bounded on the
southwest by the Riverside (91) Freeway; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC83-50 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 183 be adopted by the City
Council incorporating said designation on the Land Use Element of
the General Plan and changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed area to "Solid Waste Facility (including transfer
stations and disposal facilities)" in accordance with Exhibit "A";
and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the Ci ty Council did fix the 29th day of
March, 1983, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 183 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an op-
portunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and
did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and

WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 183 incorporating said designation on the Land Use
Element of the General Plan and changing the land use designation
in the aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file
with the City should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci ty Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 183 to the General Plan
incorporating the designation "Solid Waste Facility (including
transfer stations and disposal facilities)" on the Land Use
Element and changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed area to said designation in accordance with Exhibit
"A" on file with the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to con-
form to General Plan Amendment No. 183 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 29th day of March, 1983.
