RESOLUTION NO. 83R-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP
TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 24TH DAY
OF FEBRUARY, 1983 FOR THE FIRE STATION NO. 8
STORAGE BUILDING, AND READVERTISING THE
REQUEST POR BIDS THEREON, ACCOUNT NO. 24-914-6325.
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of January, 1983, the City
Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 83R-24
finding and determining that public convenience and necessity
required the construction of the Fire Station No. 8 Storage
Building, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the above-mentioned public improvement, and fixing
the 24th day of February, 1983, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M.
as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council
Chamber in the Anaheim Civic Center; and
WHEREAS, upon said 24th day of February, 1983, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did
open the bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
Anaheim Civic Center Council Chamber, and the City Engineer did
review the bids so received and did report the results thereof
to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 22nd day
of March, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to reject all bids received and
to readvertise the request for bids for the following described
public improvement:
Fire Station No. 8 storage building, in the City of
Anaheim, consisting of the construction of a prefabri-
cated steel building with reinforced concrete foundation
and floor, including all necessary engineering drawings
and calculations, plant labor, material and equipment;
electrical and plumbing work; the construction of concrete
block wall, asphalt paving; concrete paving, gutter, catch
basis and R.C.P. storm drain; and all appurtenant work in
accordance with the plans and delineated in the specifica-
tions on file in the office of the City Engineer,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M. on February 24, 1983, reviewed by the City
Engineer and submitted to the City Council on March 22, 1983 for
the construction of the Fire Station No. 8 Storage Building,
Account No. 24-914-6325, be, and the same are hereby, rejected
and that the above-mentioned public improvement be readvertised
as follows:
I. That the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals shall be
published on April 14th and April 21st, 1983.
2. That the opening of the bids shall be on May 5, 1983.
3. That the award of the contract will be on May 17, 1983.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 29th day of March, 1983.
