A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT,
LOCATED W/S/O SOLOMON DRIVE, S/O SANTA ANA
CANYON ROAD. (82-6A).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1983, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that certain
public utility easement, more specifically described as follows:
The abandonment of that certain easement for public
utility purposes as conveyed to the City of Anaheim
by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Orange by deed
recorded on January 5, 1981 in Book 13902, pages
1412 and 1413, in the Office of the County Recorder
of Orange County, located in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California described as
follows:

An easement for public utility purposes, together
with all reasonable rights of ingress and egress for
the construction, installation and maintenance of
City-owned water facilities over, under and across
that portion of the land allotted to Eduardo
polloreno in Decree of Partition of the Rancho
Santiago of Santa Ana, recorded in Book B, of
Judgements of the 17th Judicial District Court of
California, together with that portion of Lot 2 of
the Dominguez Estate, as per map filed in Book 2,
page IS, Record of Surveys, in the Office of the
County Recorder of said Orange County, described as:
Beginning at a point in the Southerly boundary of
Santa Ana Canyon Road as described in the deed to
the State of California, recorded July 2, 1948 in
Book 1663, page 304, Official Records of said Orange
County, said point is also described in the easement
deed (for Solomon Drive) to the County of Orange
recorded March 31, 1967 in Book 8214, page 447,
Official Records of said Orange County; thence S 730
56' 30" W, along said southerly line of Santa Ana
Canyon Road, 8'4.00 feet; thence S 610 03' 30" E,
l4.l~ feet to the beginning of a nontangent curve
concave westerly and having a radius of 1,006.84
feet; thence southerly along said curve through a
central angle of 150 41' 22" an arc distance of
275.61 feet to a line tangent; thence S 00 22' 08"
E, 61.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING of this
description; thence S 890 37' 52" w, 15.00 feet;
thence S 00 22' 08" E, 15.00 feet; thence N 890 37'
52" E, 15.00 feet; thence N 00 22' 08" W, 15.00 ,feet
to the true point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shaal not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is ~ecorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of February,
1983.
