A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 27TH DAY OF
JANUARY, 1983, FOR A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT;
TO WIT: BUILDING DEMOLITION, 518 SOUTH ANAHEIM
BOULEVARD, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NOS.

WHEREAS, on the 28th day of December, 1982, the City
Council Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No.
82R-607 finding and determining that public convenience and neces-
sity required the building demolition at 518 South Anaheim
Boulevard and all appurtenant work thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for said public improvement, which notice specified the
27th day of January, 1983, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the
date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Anaheim Civic
Center Council Chambers, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on said 27th day of January, 1983, at the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open the
bids received up to that hour, in public, in the Anaheim Civic
Center Council Chambers, and the City Engineer did review said bids
and did report the results thereof to the City Coyncil at its regu-
lar meeting held on the 15th day of February, 1983; qnd
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bids received
exceed the amount estimated for this public improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for the
benefit and in the best interests of the City to reject all bids
received and readvertise said public improvement at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the bids received on the 27th day of January,
1983, reviewed by the City Engineer and submitted to the City
Council on February 15, 1983, for the building demolition at 518
South Anaheim Boulevard be, and the same are hereby, rejected and
that said public improvement be readvertised at a later date.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of February, 1983.
