RESOLUTION NO. 83R-45
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF A WATERLINE EASE-
MENT LOCATED AT 3285 CARPENTER AVENUE.
(82-4A).
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate cer-
tain public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant
to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation
Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of February, 1983,
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit
concerning said proposed vacation; and
a public
evidence
submitted,
hereinafter
prospective
facilities.
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
that the street, highway or public service easement
specifically described is unnecessary for present or
public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the Ci ty of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that water
line easement, more specifically described as follows:
A portion of that certain easement for water line
purposes as conveyed to the City of Anaheim by the
Long Beach Leasing Company by deed recorded on
April 15, 1965 in Book 7485, page 197, in the
Office of the County Recorder of Orange County,
located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California described as follows:
That easement for the installation and maintenance
of a water line over, under and across those por-
tions of Lot 20 in Block "K" of the Kraemer Tract,
as shown on a map recorded in Book 12, pages 87
and 88 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California and that portion of Lots 9 and
10 of Orange Grove Acres as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 6, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps,
Records of Orange, County, Ca1 ifornia. That por-
tion to be abandoned being more particularly
described as follows:

Commencing at the intersection of the Easterly
line of said Lot 9 and the Southerly line of La
Palma Avenue (106 feet wide) as said intersection
is shown on a Record of Survey Map filed in Book
57, page 17 of Record of Surveys in the Office of
the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence
South 730 44' 00" West along said southerly line a
distance of 379.00 feet to the point of intersec-
tion with a line which is parallel with and dis-
tant westerly 370.00 feet, measured at right
angles, form the easterly line of said Lot 9;
thence South 030 45' 10" East along said parallel
line a distance of 708.00 feet to THE TRUE POINT
OF BEGINNING; thence North 860 14' 50" East,
378.00 feet; thence South 030 45' 10" East, 186.51
feet; thence South 860 14' 50" West, 8.00 feet;
thence North 030 45' 10" West, 178.51 feet; thence
South 860 14' 50" West, 370.00 feet; thence North
030 45' 10" West, 8.00 feet to the true point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, author ized and directed to cause a certif ied copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
Ci ty Counci 1 of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of February,
1983.
