RESOLUTION NO. 83R-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RErECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2i: 00 P. M. ON THE 6TH DAY OF
JANUARY, 1983i, FOR A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT: ANAHEIM STADIUM RELOCATION OF 135' HIGH
ADVER~ISING TPWER.
WHEREAS, on t~e 7th day of December, 1982, the City
Council did adopt Resol~tion No. 82R-581 finding and determining
that public convenience and necessity required the Anaheim
Stadium relocation of a 135' high advertising tower, in the
City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the ~ity Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnilshing of all plant, labor, materials and
equipment, and all utilrtties and transportation, and all work
necessary for said public improvement on the 6th day of January,
1983, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of said bid~ in the Anaheim Civic Center Council
Chambers, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, Anaheim, California; and
WHEREAS, on s~id 6th day of January, 1983, at the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M., the ~ity Clerk and City Engineer did open the bids
received up to that hou~, in public, and the City Engineer did review
said bids and did repor~ the results thereof to the City Council at
its regular meeting held on the 18th day of January, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bids received
are in excess of the es~imate of the City Engineer of the cost of said
public improvement and ~re not representative of actual costs for said
public improvement, and' that said bids should be rejected.
NOW, THEREFOR~, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that th~ bids received up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. on the 6th day of January, 1983, reviewed by the City Engineer
and submitted to the Ci~y Council on January 18, 1983 for the Reloca-
tion of a 135' high, triple-faced billboard tower at the Anaheim
Stadium, Account No. 61~985-6325, be and the same are hereby rejected.
THE FOREGOING, RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of January, 1983.
