RESOLUTION NO. 83R-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM CHANGING THE NAME FOR LAUREL STREET
TO AVENIDA MARGARITA.
WHEREAS, the City Council is in receipt of a report for
the Public Works Department recommending a street name change
within the City of Anaheim to eliminate duplication of street
names in the Santa Ana Canyon area; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Department does recommend that a
street named, "Laurel Street," be renamed over its entire length
from Edgemar Avenue to Old Santa Ana Canyon Road to the street
name of "Avenida Margarita;" and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim, and particularly those persons
having occasion to use said street to change the street name as so
recommended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Laurel Street over its entire length from
Edgemar Avenue to Old Santa Ana Canyon Road be, and the same is
hereby, changed to a new street name designated as Avenida
Margarita; and henceforth and hereafter such street shall be known
and designated upon all maps by the name to which it is hereby
changed.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this lIt ayof Janua 1983.
