RESOLUTION NO. 84R-116
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING CERTAIN ELECTRICAL EASEMENTS
LOCATED SOUTH OF LA PALMA AVENUE AND WEST OF
GROVE STREET. (83-1SA)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of March, 1984, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of those
certain public utility easements, more specifically described as
follows:

The abandonment of those certain easements for public utility
and electrical purposes over, under and across those certain
strips of land situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Parcel A:
That certain easement for public utility purposes over, under
and across the northerly 764.50 feet of the easterly 8.00 feet
of Lot 4 of the Orange Grove Acres as shown on a map filed in
Book 6, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County, acquired by said City of Anaheim by a Grant Deed executed
by Clyde and Maxine Pearman, recorded on November 12, 1959 in
Book 4969, page 399 of Official Records of said Orange County.
Parcel B:
That certain easement for public utility purposes over, under
anc across the northerly 765.00 feet of the easterly 8.00 feet
of ~he weSterly two-thirds of Lot 3 of the Orange Grove Acres
as shown on a map filed in Book 6, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County, acquired by said City of Anaheim,
by a corporation Grant Easement Deed executed by Wesmac Construction
Corporation recorded October 18, 1961 in BOOK 5884, page 788 of
Official Records of said Orange County.
Parcel C:
That certain electrical easement over, under and across a strip of
land for electrical facilities as conveyed by deed to the Southern
California Edison Company, as recorded on March 22, 1950 in Book 1988,
page 384, Official Records of said Orange County, located within the
westerly two-thirds of Lot 3 of the Orange Grove Acres as shown on a
map filed in Book 6, page 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said
Orange County described as follows:
All poles shall be erected and maintained within one foot of the
following described line:
Beginning at a point in the northerly line of said property of the
grantors approximately 100 feet easterly measured thereon from the
westerly line of said Lot 3; thence Southerly parallel to said Westerly
line 120 feet.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of March, 1984.
