RESOLUTION NO. 84R-102
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A CERTAIN ELECTRICAL UTILITY
EASEMENT AT 853 AND 855 MARIAN WAY. (83-l3A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of March, 1984, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that certain
easement for electrical purposes, more specifically described as
follows:
That portion of that certain easement as granted by
Running K. Ranch, Inc. to the Southern California
Edison Company, its successors and assigns, an
easement and right of way to construct, lay, install,
use, maintain, alter, add to, repair, replace,
inspect and/or remove, at any time and from time to
time, aerial and underground electric lines and
communication lines, consisting of poles, guys and
anchors, cross-arms, wires, cables, conduits,
manholes, vaults, pull boxes, markers and other
fixtures and appliances, for conveying electric
energy to be used for light, heat, power, telephone
and/or other related uses, in, on, over, under and
through that certain real property in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California as
recorded in Book 7149, page 472 in the Office of the
County Recorder of said Orange County, described as
follows:

That portion of Lot 4 of Tract No. 5529 as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 201, pages 5 and 6 of
Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the Recorder of
said Orange County more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of said Lot 4:
thence N 360 37' 57" E, 20.25 feet to the True Point
of Beginning; thence S 360 37' 57" W, 20.25 feet;
thence N 530 22' 03" W, 108.36 feet; thence N 00 II'
0" W, 25.56 feet: thence S 530 22' 03" E, to the true
point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
