RESOLUTION NO. 84R-100
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING CERTAIN ELECTRICAL UTILITY
EASEMENTS LOCATED EAST OF SHARON CIRCLE, SOUTH
OF BALL ROAD. (83-l1A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of March, 1984, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of electrical
easements, more specifically described as follows:
PARCEL 1: That portion of that certain easement as
granted by Curtis Pickerel by Document No. 146827 to
the Southern California Edison company for electrical
utility purposes to construct, use, maintain, alter,
add to, repair, replace and/or remove, in and over
that real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California as recorded in
Book 2937, page 278 in the Office of the County
Recorder of said Orange County, an electric line,
consisting of poles, necessary guys and anchors,
cross-arms, wires, and other fixtures and appliances,
for conveying electric energy to be used for light,
heat, power, telephone, and/or other purposes over
the real property described as follows:

The East 6 feet of the West 66 feet of the West 132
feet of the East 793 feet of the North one-half of
the Northwest one-quarter of the Northeast
one-quarter of Section Twenty-four, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the South 330 feet thereof.
PARCEL 2: That portion of that certain easement as
granted by Will D. Pickerel and Lucille C. Pickerel
by Document No. 146828 to the Southern California
Edison Company for electrical utility purposes to
construct, use, maintain, alter, add to, repair,
replace and/or remove, in and over that real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California as recorded in Book 2944, page
403 in the Office of the County Recorder of said
Orange County, an electric line, consisting of poles,
necessary guys and anchors, cross-arms, wires, and
other fixtures and appliances, for conveying electric
energy to be used for light, heat, power, telephone,
and/or other purposes over the real property
described as fo.llows:
The West 6 feet of the East 66 feet of the West 132
feet of the East 793 feet of the North one-half of
the Northwest one-quarter of the Northeast
one-quarter of Section Twenty-four, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM to South 330 feet thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 13th day of March, 1984.
