84R-083 RESOLUTION NO 84R - 83 -. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENUING RESOLUTION NO. 83R-387 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSES DESIGNATED AS SUPPORT AND SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT. WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended in a staff report dated February 28, 1984, that man&gement merit pool funds be authorized to provide a base performance award for performance year 1982-83; and to increase the management package by 1%; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 83R-387 which established rates of compensation for classes designated as Support and Supervisory Management; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that implementing the merit pool funds and additional 1% Management Package is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 83R-387 be amended as follows: SECTION 3. That effective October 7, 1983, employees working in job classifications listed in Section 2 of this resolution shall receive a management package of seven percent (7%). Effective December 2, 1983, employees working in job classifications listed in Section 2 of this resolution shall receive a management package of eight percent (8%). The employee shall have the choice of receiving the management package in City-paid contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System, or the equivalent amount in deferred compensation or additional earnings. SECTION 4. Employees in the classifications listed in Section 2 of this resolution shall be covered by the Management Pay for Performance Plan. The City Council shall authorize the basic merit pool funds to be used for management merit pay adjustments. The City Manager shall establish the Merit Pay Increase Guide in accordance with the merit pool funds established by the City Council and shall implement management merit pay adjustments. That effective December 2, 1983 the merit pool fund shall be established at a basic performance award of 6% for performance year 1982-83. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, Resolution No. 83R-387 shall remain in full force and effect. PAGE 2.
