A RESOLUTIOf OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM fINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCEjAND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND CO~PLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
VINTAGE LAN~. - CYPRESS STREET TO 500' S/O
CYPRESS ST ET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT
NO. 46-792- 32s-E2840.
WHEREAS, puplic convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a public improvement in the City of

Anaheim, to wit:
Vintage Lane - C~' ress Street to 500' s/o Cypress
Street, in the C"ty of Anaheim, Account No.
46-792-632s-E284 . consisting of clearing and grubbing,
excavation, base, material and A.C. pavement~ P.C.C.
curb and gutter ~nd sidewalk~ R.C.P. storm drain
including manhO~S and catch basins~ 8" D.I.P. water
main including 're hydrants and water service~ masonry
wall~ 1andscapi and irrigation facilities~ and
appurtenant wor in accordance with the project plans
and specificati s on file in the office of the City
Engineer~ and .
WHEREAS, t~ City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar~ detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, ~d estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fOI1 the construction of said public improvement~
and
WHEREAS, S~id Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pI ns, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of aid public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Coucil~ and
WHEREAS, tie City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof les, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice land are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the 4ity of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the 'purposes for which they are intended, and that
.~ they are adequate fo. the construction of said public improvement
and should be approv,d.
NOW, THERE*ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that 'the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifi~ations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri1j>ed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared >>y said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed 'in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dra~ings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Departm~nt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theret~ as may be approved prior to the awarding of
...-,... bids therefor. '
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s~e is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice accqrding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of al~ plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all u~ilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and ~rforming all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good ~d workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d~signs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as pr~ared by said Public Works Department, the
public improvements ~reinabove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 17th day qf January, 1985, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and ~our for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in thie City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall b~ at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications shall be
at least five (5) da~ apart.
BE IT FURT~R RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be requ~red to enter into a contract with thEPCi'ty
of Anaheim in the man~er and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim f~r the construction, installation and
completion of said PU....liC improvement hereinabove mentioned and
described, in accorda 'ce with the plans and specifi~tions
prepared by said PUbl\"c Works Department, the notice inviting
sealed proposals, thi$ resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code Set:tions and the laws of the State of
California, and shall' be required to post bonds and insurance in
the amounts and withi~ the time required by law, as specified in
the notice invitin~ s~aled proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the Clty of Anaheim this lath day of December,
1984.
