RESOLUTION NO. 84R-488
A RESOLUTIt~ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM fINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCAND NEC~SSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C ,. ~PLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
LA PALMA Af'.~.',NUE STR~ET IMPROVEMENT 530' EAST OF
TO 58' EAS 'OF KRAEmER BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, A COUNT NO. 46-792-6325-E2080.
WHEREAS, p+~lic convenience and necessity require the
construction and com,1etion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit: i
Consisting of ct,aring and grubbing; construction of
P.C.C. curb andjpattern concrete; and all appurtenant
work as shown o~the plan and delineated in the
specifications ~~ file in the Office of the City
Engineer, Accou~t No. 46-792-6325-E2080; and
WHEREAS, t1' City C~uncil instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar 'detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, ~d estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fotthe construction of said public improvement;
and
WHEREAS, s4td Public Works Department
detailed designs, PI4~.s, profiles, drawings and
the construction of ~aid public improvement and
same to the City Couqcil; and
WHEREAS, t~~ City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof~~es, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a~ve mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice !~nd are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the .purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fo~ the construction of said public improvement
and should be approv~d.

NOW, THERE~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifiqations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descriqed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared ijy said Public Works Department.

BE IT FUR1$ER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructe4 in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dr~~ings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Depart.~nt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications there~o as maybe approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.
BE IT FUR~ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and slhe is hereby, authorized and directed to
pUblish a notice acqdrding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of al~ plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all lJ/tilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good ~nd workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d~signs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as pr~ared by said Public Works Department, the
public improvements ~~reinabove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 17th day o<f January, 1985, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date andlhour for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the openin9 of bids, and that said publications shall be
at least five (5) dat~ apart.

BE IT FURT'~R RESOLVED that the successful bidd~ or
bidders shall be req1ti.red to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the ma_ner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim f~r the construction, installation and
completion of said PibliC imp~ovement hereinabove--mentioned and
described, in accord *ce with the plans and specifications
prepared by said Pub ic Works Depart~ent, the notice inviting
sealed proposals, th~$ resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code S.ctions and the laws of the State of
California, and ahal~ be required to post bonds and insurance in
the amounts and wit~~. the time required by law, as specified in
the notice inviting Sealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREGO~~G RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the djty of Anaheim this 18th day of December,
1984.
