A RESOLUTI~N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM;fINDING ~D DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCt AND NECtSSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C~~PLETIONOF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
RELOCATION:. OF PRESSlRE REGULATING STATION #46
CONSTRUCTI~.'N OF PRE SURE REGULATING STATION #61,
WATER SERVttE RELOC,TIONS, AND INSTALLATION OF
INDIVIDUAL i PRESSURE i. REGULATORS AT VARIOUS
LOCATION IfI": THE PERtu.TA HILLS AREA IN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM'~CCOUNT ~O. 54-603-6329-02176.
WHEREAS, p~~lic conyenience and necessity require the
construction and comp~etion o~ a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
Consisting of t~~ constrpction of a new pressure
regulation stat~~n #61 op Valley Gate Drive, relocation
of pressure regpQation s~ation #46 from Royal Oak Road
to Crescent Dri~e, reloc~tion of eight water services,
and installation of indi~idual service regulators in
the Peralta Hil~~ area, ~nd all appurtenant work
thereto as ShOW~,..' ., on the ~lans and delineated in the
specifications pn file ip the Office of the City
Engineer, Accou~t No. 54~603-6329-02l76; and
WHEREAS, th~ City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepa~ detaile~ designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, ~d estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fot- the construction of said public improvement;
and
WHEREAS, s~id Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pl~s, profliles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of ..aid publ'ic improvement and has submitted the
same to the City COUhcil; and
WHEREAS, the City Cbuncil finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof~les, dra~ings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement ~ove mentiioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practiceland are ~dequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of ~aheim and the citizens and residents
.~ in said area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fqr the construction of said public improvement
and should be appro~d.

NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the deta!led designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifit~tions f~r said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri~ed be, a$d the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared 1>~ said P1bblic Works Department.
BE IT FURT'~R RESOLj'ED that said public improvement shall
be constructed in ac~brdance 'ith said detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings a...... a speci f . cations as prepared by said Public
Works Department and1pereby a proved, and such addenda or
modifications thereto as may.. e approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.
BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim be, and she ts hereby, authorized and directed to publish a
notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for the
furnishing of all pl..t1t, labot, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities an~ transportation, including power, fuel and
water, and performin,1 all wort necessary to construct and complete,
in a good and workmanlike man~er, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, pl.ns, profiles, drawings and Specifications as
prepared by said Public Works Department, the public improvements
hereinabove mentionea and described, and fixing the 3rd day of
January~ 1985, at thf: hour of, 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and
hour for the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in
the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at least
ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, and
that said publicatio~s shall be at least five (5) days apart.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the succeSsful bidder or
bidders shall be req~ired to enter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim for the construction, installation and completion
of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described, in
accordaJ1Ce. wi th the.:tuans and, speci fications prepared by said
Public Works Depart~ht, the notice inviting sealed proposals, this
resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws of the State of California, and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a
form approved by the City Attorney.

City Council of the City of Anaheim this 27th day of November, 1984.
