A RESOLUTiON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIEN ! AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND OMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT: '
BROADWAYmREET/CL~ENTINE STREET SEWER
IMPROVEME ',' AND CITY CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE
SITE CLE ANCE IN tHE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT
NO. 46-79 .6325-E2940.

WHEREAS, ~Ublic convenience and necessity require the
construction and co,pletion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit: !
Consist in of clearing and grubbing, excavation,
removal 0 water main and sewer line, installation
of 12", 1 ", 8" and 6" VCP sewer line,
construct on of sewer manholes, sheeting, shoring
and braci 9, and a~purtenant work in accordance
with proj ct plans and specifications on file in
the offic of the City Engineer, Account No.
46-792-63 S-E2940: and
WHEREAS, ~he City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepa~e detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, land estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys f~r the construction of said public improvement:
and
WHEREAS, faid Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pans, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of said public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Co ncil: and
WHEREAS, !he City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pro.iles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement bove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practic and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of thejCity of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate f~r the construction of said public improvement
and should be appro,ed.
NOW, THE~FORE' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim tha the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specif cations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as preparediby said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT,ER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructedjin accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drai1,'ngS and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Departm nt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theret . as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor. !

BE IT FURaER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s e is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice acc ~ding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of al plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all u ilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and erforming all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good nd workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d signs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as pr pared by said Public Works Department, the
public improvements ereinabove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 20th day ~f December, 1984, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date andlhour for the opening of said bids at the ,City
Council Chamber in t~eCity Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be!published twice, the first o~ which
publications shall b, at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed fO,r t,he openin., of bid"S, and that said publications shall be
at least five (5) dat~ apart..
BE IT FURT,ER RESOLVED that the successful bidde~ or
bidders shall be req,ired to enter into a contract with th,t> City
of Anaheim in the ma*ner and form approved by the, City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim ~or the construction, installation and
completion of said p blic improvement hereinabove/mentioned and
described, in.'accord hce with the plans and specifica'tions
prepared by said!Pub ic Works Department, the notice inviting
sealed proposals, t~ s resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code S ctions and the laws of the State of
California, and ahal be required to post bonds and insurance in
the ~9~nt~ and wit~.. the time required by law, as specified in
the notice invitingealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOtNG RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the tity of Anaheim this 20th day of November,
1984.
