RESOLUTION NO. 84R-427
A RESOLUTI1N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C MPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
ANAHEIM CO+!ENTION CENTER PARKING LOT COUNTER
SYSTEM, INITHE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO.
24-307-7ll~.
WHEREAS, p~blic convenience and necessity require the
construction and com*letion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
Anaheim convent~on Center parking lot improvement, in
the City of Ana eim, consisting of providing and
installing a co plete parking lot counter system in
accordance withJthe project specifications on file in
the office of t,e City Engineer and the plans developed
by the successf~l contractor, Account No. 24-307-7115~
and .
WHEREAS, tje City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, nd estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fo the construction of said public improvement~
and
WHEREAS, Sjid Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pI ns, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of aid public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Cou cil~ and

WHEREAS, tie City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof les, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice)and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the ~ity of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the!purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fof the construction of said public improvement
and should be approv$d.
NOW, THEREtORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim thatithe detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifi~ations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri~ed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared ~y said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that said public improvement shall
be constructed in ac~ordance with said detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings a~d specifications as prepared by said Public
Works Department and 1 hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theret~ as may be approved prior to the'awarding of
bids therefor. ,
BE IT FURTiER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim be, and she .8 hereby, authorized and directed to publish a
notice according to aw, inviting sealed proposals for the
furnishing of all PI!'nt, labor, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities an transportation, including power, fuel and
water, and performin all work necessary to construct and complete,
in a good and workma*like manner, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, Pltns, profiles, drawings and specific.a.tions as
prepared by said Pub ic Works Department, the public improvements
hereinabove mentione~ and described, and fixing the 15th day of
November, 1984, ,at t'e hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. ~s the date and
hour for the opening,of said bids at the City Council Chamber in
the City Hall in the'City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at least
ten (10) days prior ~o the date fixed for the opening of bids, and
that said pqblicatio*s shall be at least five (5) days apart.

BE IT FU~;~ER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req+ired to enter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the manne* and form approved by the City Attorn~y of the
City of Anaheim for the construction, installation and completion
of said public imprO!ement hereinabove mentioned and described, in
accordance with the l..ans and specifications prepared by'said
Public Works Departm nt, the notice inviting seciledproposals, this
resolution and all a plicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws of the Stat~ of California, and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance ~n the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in:tbe notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a
form approved'by thejCity Attorney.
THE FOREGOjNG RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the tity of Anaheim this 30th day of October, 1984.
