A RESOLUTIOf OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM tPPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT
FUNDS UNDER THE REGIONAL COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
OF THE CALI ORNIA PARK AND RECREATIONAL
FACILITIES CT OF 1984 FOR (i) THE CANYON AREA
COMMUNITY C NTER, (ii) IMPERIAL PARK, (iii)
OAK CANYON ~TURE CENTER AND (iv) PERALTA
CANYON PARK
WHEREAS, th

certify by resolutio the approval of applications before
submission of said a, lications to the state; and
WHEREAS, th~' City of Anaheim ("applicant agency") desires
to submit applicatios for grant funds under the terms of said Act
for developing facil'ties for public recreational purposes at (i)
the Canyon Area Com~nity Center, (ii) Imperial Park, (iii) Oak
Canyon Nature Center!, and (iv) Peralta Canyon Park (hereinafter
jointly described a~ "projects"); and
WHEREAS, s~id applications contain assurances that the
applicant agency mus~ comply with; and
WHEREAS, t~ applicant agency will enter into agreements
with the State of C~ifornia for development rehabilitation or
restoration of said projects.
NOW, THERE~RE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim hereby:

1. Approves tqe filing of applications for 1984 state grant
assistance for the ~ove projects; and
2. Certifies ~hat said applicant agency understands the
assurances and cert~fication in the applications; and
3. Certifies ~'hat said agency has or will have sufficient
funds to operate an maintain the projects, if any or all of the
projects are select ,d for state grant funding; and

4. Certifies tpat said organization will provide
construction plans apd specifications to the state within one year
of the appropriationiof funds under this program and will commence
work immediately aftrr state approval; and
5. Appoints th! City Manager as agent of the City to conduct
all negotiations, ex cute and submit all documents including but
not limited to appli stions, agreements, amendments, and payment
requests which may b necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned proje t.
