WHEREAS, p~~lic convenience and necessity require the
construction and comt~etion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
Ball Road-Sunk if'...., ~ Street ....,. to State College Boulevard;
Sunkist Street-, 'lda Str,et to Ball Road, in the City
of Anaheim, str t and storm drain improvement
consisting of c ~aring a~d grubbing; excavation;
construction ofrf.c.c. s~dewalk, driveway and curb and
gutter; constru.~ A.C. p.vement over base material;
A.C. planing; afpust man1t..oles, water valve boxes, and
pull boxes to gt~de; con$truct R.C.P. storm drain
including manho ~s, catc~ basins and junction
structures; con+~ruct V.~.P. sewer; install traffic
markers and leg,~ds; install traffic detection loops;
and all appurte.~.nt work in accordance with the project
plans and speci~~cations on file in the office of the
City Engineer, !~count Nos. l2-792-6325-E2750 and
5l-484-6993-0071a - Federal Aid Urban Project No.
L060(4); and
WHEREAS, t~~ City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar,'detaile~ designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, +pd estim.tes of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fot the con$truction of said public improvement;
and

WHEREAS, s.~d Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pl.~s, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of .~id public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Cou.~il; and
WHEREAS, t~e City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof~~es, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a~~ve mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice~nd are ~dequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the ~1ty of Amaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fot the con$truction of said public improvement
and should be approv.4.

NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detatled designs, plans, profiles,
dra, wings and specifif', ~tions f~,,". r sa, "id public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri ~d be, a~d the sa~e are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared ,'V said P(J.blic WorKs Department.
BE IT FURT.~R RESOLVED that said public improvement shall
be constructed in aCfprdance ~ith said qetailed designs, pl~ns,
profiles, drawings a.~ specif!cations as prepared by said PUblic
Works Department and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.

BE IT FURTftR RESOLVED that the City Clerk of t,he City of
Anaheim be, and she .. herebY" authorized and dir~cted to. ~Ublish a
notice according to i w, inviting sealed proposals for the'
furnishing of all Pl.~, t, labot, S,ervices, materials"and equipment,
and all utilities an.!transpoftation, including power, fuel ana
water, and performin,.all wor~ necessary to construct and complete,
in a good and workma_like man1l1er, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, pl_ns, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said Pub~~c Works Department, the public improvements
hereinabove mentione<Jiand des<l=ribed, and fixing the 29th day of
November 1984, at th.!hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and
hour for the opening~f said ~ids at the City Council Chamber in
the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at least
ten (10) days prior t~ the da~e fixed for the opening 'of bids, and
that said publicatio'~ shall ~e at least five (5) days apart.
BE IT FURT'~R RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req~~red to .nter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the mannefand for~ approved by the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim for t~e consttuction, installation and completion
of said public improt~"ment heteinabove mentioned and described, in
accordance with the .ians and specifications prepared by said
Public Works Departm'~t, the notice inviting sealed proposals, this
resolution and all afplicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws of the Stat.: of California, and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in the am~unts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a
form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOt~G RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the ~ity of Anaheim this 23rd day of October, 1984.
