has heretofore crea d the office entitled "Deputy City Manager -
Public Works and Su . rintendent of Streets"; and

it is necessary or :sirablefor the City Council to appoiftt an
officer or employee ,'If the ci'ty of Anaheim to perform the duties
and functions of the! Superintendent of Streets during any such
per iod of vacancy. I
NOW, THEREFf>RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim tha~, during any period of vacancy in the office
of Deputy City Man!i' r - Public Works and Superintendent of
Streets? the.Cityineer of the City of Anaheim is hereby
authorized and direed to p~rform the functions and duties of the
Superintendent of S~eets of the City of Anaheim as the same may
be required or authqrized by law.
BE IT FURTiR RESOLVED that this resolution shall
supersede all res.Ol . ions heI1etofore adopted to the extent such
resolutions may.be . 'consist$lt with the provisions 'hereof..
BE IT FURTij!R RESOLVED that, except as expressly set
forth herein, nothi~ contained in this resolution shall authorize
the City Engineer t~perform any other functions or duties of the
Deputy City Manager:~ Public Works and Superintendent of Streets
as set forth in Sectiion 1.04.120 of the Anaheim Municipal Code.
THE FOREGqING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
