A RESOLUTI;N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM tINDING ~D DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC:AND NEC,SSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-

WHEREAS, p.plic convenience and necessity require the
construction and comtletion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit: f
Patrick Henry N ~ghborho~d street and storm drain
improvements, W ~t Street-ROmneya Drive to Carbon Creek
Channel: Romney. Drive-C tron Lane to West Street, in
the City of Ana ~im, con$isting of clearing and grub-
bing: excavatio : construction of P.C.C. curb and gut-
ter, sidewalk, tiveways. access ramps, A.C. pavement:
tree removal: c~nstructi<lm of 42" R.C.P. through 18"
R.C.P. storm dr.in syste$, including laterals, catch
basins, manhole, and oth~r structures: relocation of
water services tnd all other appurtenant work in place
in accordance w th the ptoject plans and specifications
on file in the !ffiCe of the City Engineer, Account
Nos. 25-791-632 ~E1320, 25-792-6325-E2920, 25-792-6325-
E2980 and 51-6 6-6329-0~740: and
WHEREAS, tie City C~uncil instructed the Public Works
Dep. artment to prepar detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, nd estim.tes of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fOr the con$truction of said public improvement:

WHEREAS, Slid Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pI ns,profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of aid pUblic improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Cou eil: and
WHEREAS, tie City CQuncil finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof.les, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice:and are ~dequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the ~ity of A$aheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for theipurposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fot the con$truction of said public improvement
and should be approv;d.

NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci~ of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, draw-
ings and specificati~ns for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri~ed be, a~d the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared ~y said P~blic Works Department.
BE IT FURTi~R RESOLVED that said public i~provement shall
be constructed in actprdance ~ith said detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings a+~ specif~cations as prepared by said Public
Works Department and'hereby approved, and such addenda or modifica-
tions thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding of bids
therefor.
BE IT FURTt!ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim be, and she 1~ herepy. authorized and directe4to publish a
notice according to ~w, invit.ing sealed proposals for the furnish-
ing of all plant, la or, services, materials and eqbipment, and all
u~lities and trans~ftation, including power, fuel and water, and
performing all work *ecessaryto construct and c6mp~ete, in a good
and workmanlike mann,r, in sttict accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared
by said PublicWorksPepartme~t, the pUblic improvements herein-
above mentioned and ~~scribed. and fixing the 27th day of
September, 1984, at t-1'te hour q>f 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and
hour for the openingiof said ~ids at the City Council Chamber in
the City Hall in the'City of Anaheim, and that said notice &hall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at least
ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids, and
that said publicatio$s shall ~e at least five (5).days apart.

BE IT FURTtER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req.ired to $nter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the mannet and form approved by the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim for t~e constfuction, installation and completion
of said public improtement heteinabove mentioned and described, in
accordance with -the -1~an.sdand.lspecifications prepared by said
Public Works Departmtnt, the notice inviting sealed proposals, this
resolution and all a.plicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws of the Stat. of California, and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in a
form approved by the City Attorney.
