RESOLUTION NO. 84R-311
A RESOLUTI[ OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C PLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT: !
ANAHEIM PO~ICE PROPERTY ROOM SHELVING, IN THE
CITY OF ANtHEIM, ACCOUNT NO. 01-991-7121.

WHEREAS, p~blic convenience and necessity require the
construction and com~letion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:'
Anaheim Police roperty room shelving, in the City of
Anaheim, consis ing of providing and installing
shelving for th property room within the allowable
space. The she ving shall be moveable and comply with
all Code and St te requirements. The anchoring,
supports, and f ooring shall be as shown on the plans
and delineated n the specifications. All work shall
be done in acco dance with the plans and specifications
on file in the ffice of the City Engineer, Account No.
01-991-7121; an~
WHEREAS, tie City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar, detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, nd estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fo the construction of said public improvement;
and

WHEREAS, Sf' id Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pl ns, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of aid public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Cou,cil; and
WHEREAS, t~e City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof les, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice,and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the tity of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for theipurposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fot the construction of said public improvement
and should be approv~d.
NOW, THEREtORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that. the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and speCifit"ations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri ed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared .y said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT~R RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructedl in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dra~ings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Wor~s Departm~nt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theretp as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.'. .
BE IT FURT~. R RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s e is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice acc rding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of al plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all u~ilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to const~uct and
complete, in a good ~nd workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d~SignS' plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as pr pared by said Public Works Department, the
public improvements ereinabove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 6th day o~ September, 1984, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and,hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in t~e City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be; published twice, the first of which
publications shall b~ at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the openin~ of bids, and that said publications shall be
at least five (5) dars apart.
BE IT FURT~R RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req ired to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the ma ner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim~" or the construction, installation and
completion of said "blic improvement hereinabove m,entioned and
described, in accord ' be wi th the plans and speci fica-tions
prepared by said Pu " ic Works Department, the notice in'vi ting
sealed proposals, th~s resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code S~ctions and the laws of the State of
California, and shal~ be required to post bonds and insurance in
the amounts and with1i:n the time required by law, as specified in
the notice invitin9 ~ealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREG~NG RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the ~ity of Anaheim this 14th day of August, 1984.
