A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC~ AND NECBSSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND CQMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
EAST STREE~ SEWER IMPROVEMENT, 109 FEET SOUTH OF
NORTH STRE~T TO 137 FEET NORTH OF WILHELMINA
STREET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO.
ll-790-6325-E0490.
WHEREAS, p~blic convenience and necessity require the
construction and comjletion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
East Street sew,r improvement, 109 feet south of North
Street to 137 f.et north of Wilhelmina Street, in the
City of Anaheim~ consisting of approximately 426 L.F.
of either 8" V.d::.P. or 8" P.V.C. sewer including PCC
manholes, ~idew.lk, drive approaches and all other
appurtenant wort in place in accordance with the
project plans a.d specifications on file in the Office
of the City Eng!neer, Account No. ll-790-6325-E0490; and
WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepare detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, _nd estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys for the construction of said public improvement;
and
WHEREAS, s.id Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of ~aid public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a~ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate for the construction of said public improvement
and should be approved.

NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Departm~nt and h~reby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theretd as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor.
BE IT FURTaER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s~~ is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice accdtding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good qnd workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d~signs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as pr.~ared by said Public Works Department, the
public improvements Hereinabove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 30th day qf August, 1984, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and 'hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the openin~ of bids, and that said publications shall be
at least f~ve (5) da~. apart.
BE IT FURT$ER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req~ired to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the ma4ner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim tor the construction, installation and
completion of said p*blic improvement hereinabove mentioned and
described, in accord4nce with the plans and specifications
prepared by said pubiic Works Department, the notice inviting
sealed proposals, this resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the State of
California, and shal~ be required to post bonds and insurance in
the amounts and within the time required by law, as specified in
the notice inviting $ealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOtNG RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the ~ity of Anaheim this 31st day of July, 1984.
