RESOLUTION NO. 84R-263
A RESOLUTI~N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIMjFINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC~ AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C~MPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT:
ANAHEIM CORvENTION CENTER PARKING LOT COUNTER
SYSTEM, INITHE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO.
24-307-711$.
WHEREAS, p~blic convenience and necessity require the
construction and comfletion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
Anaheim convent;on Center parking lot improvement, in
the City of Ana eim, consisting of providing and
installing a co plete parking lot counter system in
accordance witht,the project specifications on file in
the office of t e City Engineer and the plans developed
by the successf,l contractor, Account No. 24-307-7115~
and
WHEREAS, t~e City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar, detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, ,nd estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys fot the construction of said public improvement~
and
WHEREAS, Slid Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pI ns, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of aid public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Cou*cil~ and

WHEREAS, ttte City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prof les, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement a ve mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practiceiand are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the ~ity of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate fot the construction of said public improvement
and should be approv.d.
NOW, THERE~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifii'ations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri ed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as preparedy said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT,ER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dra,ings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Departmtnt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theret~ as may be approved prior to the awarding of
bids therefor. J
BE IT FURT$ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s~e is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice acc~rding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of al+ plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good .nd workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed d+signs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as pr.pared by said Public Works Department, the
public improvements ~ereinabove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 26th day $f July, 1984, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and'hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in t~e City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
publications shall b~ at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the openin, of bids, and that said publications shall be
at least five (5Ldats apart.
BE IT FURT,ER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be reqiired to enter into a contract with the 'City
of Anaheim in the ma ner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim ,or the construction, installation and
completion of said p~blic improvement hereinabove mentioned and
described, ,in accordtnce with the plans and specifications
prepared by said Pub,' ic Works Department, the notice inviting
sealed proposals, this resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code Stctions and the laws of the State of
California, and shalt be required to post bonds and insurance in
the amounts and withtp the time required by law, as specified in
the notice inviting tealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOJNG RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 10th day of July, 1984.
